The next-generation successor to Spike's Budokai Tenkaichi games, Raging Blast doesn't have its predecessor's massive character count, but it makes up in a couple of critical ways. In high definition, it looks about as good as a Dragon Ball game ever will, and this is the first time the series has featured a smooth, lag-free online mode. Though... Read more
Overall, this game does have a few problems, and a handful of them are more than just minor ones, but they do not inhibit your ability to enjoy the game. As a Dragonball fan myself, I’ve always wanted a Budokai Tenkaichi series on the now current gen systems. It’s disappointing to see this is the result and I think I just about reached my end with Dragonball games. The core gameplay is still fairly deep and rewarding, and the visual of the battles is truly amazing.... Read more
The Dragon Ball range of fighting games has been going on for donkeys’ years. Practically every console in the past two or three generations has been littered with Dragon Ball games. And for good reason! The premise of the show is spot on for a fighting game, and the popularity of the series means that the games are a surefire moneymaker. However, this latest generation has been oddly lacking when it comes to the volume of Dragon Ball material; only Dragon Ball Z:... Read more
The Dragon Ball series just is not the same as it used to be, mainly because it has been officially over for a few years now. And yet publishers still continue to push out games based on the once incredibly popular anime every so often. Here’s another example of one that, like Burst Limit before it, tries to recapture the fighting genre. And once again, we are left with a game that feels like it should have been released three or four years ago. Read more
It seems that the Dragon Ball franchise is the perfect one to release annual games and with the latest offering one feels that this is a cash in on the name. Read more
This game is really fun and a must have if ur a DBZ fan. lets just put it like this, Vegeta has like 15 different Ki attack animations. So it isnt boring and there is a ton of characters who all interact with each other how they should. So when trunks is fighting vegeta they say stuff that they would say to each other. Its really polished and looks great. They are very true to the series and fun as heck. Read more
This game was just plain fun, and I have owned Street Fighter 4, Teken 6, and Soul Caliber 4. It really feels like the show, with lots of replayibility and more characters than the average fighting game. The online is lag free, the story mode is long (But doesn't tell the story well), and you can pick it up and play it, while leaving lots of room for improvment. This game is a lot better than Burst Limit, and I enjoy playing this with my friends more than Street Fighter... Read more
Fun: This review is from: Dragon Ball: Raging Blast (Xbox 360) (Video Game) When I first played this game I found it very difficult as I was used to playing Dragon Ball: Burst Limit. Raging Blast plays much quicker, there are great extra features with several different modes to play through and character customisation, which I haven't quite figured out. The transformations are more complicated to achieve than Burst Limit but the graphics are far superior and the Special... Read more
I just rented this game. It can be quite fun, the graphics are a vast improvement to that of the other games. People who state that the graphics "aren't good" don't know that the series is based around the anime, so the stories it contains and the GRAPHICS are going to be quite similar. Gameplay-wise, it's very enjoyable. It gives the PS2 feel back to the Dragon Ball games, it has the typical flashy moves that all the older games had. In this game we see the return of... Read more
