Summary: No, really. Let's take the unpopular opinion, shall we? I think the most effective way to do this is to compare Dragon Age 2 to its predecessor. And yeah, I'm sure many of you aren't gonna like this. Let's start with the common criticisms: 1.) Level Design: Critics complain that Bioware reused level maps incessantly. First, since when has Bioware been known for brilliant level design?
Summary: i bought this after the first game and they were both worth it. i liked the storyline and enjoyed all the different possible outcomes the fighting could have been a little more interactive with a way to avoid direct damage but yeah it was a fun game and kept me amused for a number of hours
Summary: Once bitten twice shy. I bought played and disliked DA2 immensely. When offered this DLC it was a no-brainer to absolutely ignore it. I remembered buying all the DLC for DA Origins and yet every single but of it was rubbish. So I will avoid every DLC Bioware ever cooks up from here on out.
Summary: Dragon Age II have more action/fast-paced battle system compare to DA:O, and improved graphics. But the locations are less variation than the first game. Still, one of the best RPG ever created.
Summary: While this is a great game, true rpg fans will feel alittle shortchanged as it feels like cut scenes and fights added together with little exploration along the way, personally I enjoyed Two Worlds 2 more for it's depth, even though it reminded me of a B grade film, either way both great games
Summary: Good game, was hoping they would keep to a similar story line as the fist one but they didn't. The graphics are about the same, camera movement is worse, and the menu's were better in the first game. Over all the game play isn't as bad as I'm making it seem. Is it worth $60? No. Is it about a $20 game (now due to it being out so long) yeah of course it's worth it. If they make a 3rd one, please keep to the basics of the first dragon age.
Summary: The combat is certainly more savage & fun to watch, but when u have to press a button for every single attack, it gets to the point where you can't enjoy it anymore. The original game play let u use strategy and then watch the results of ur choices play out. This new system is almost too fast and hectic to be appreciated. They made a similar choice with the path they took after the original game.
