Conclusion: DmC: Devil May Cry is a Western reboot of the fan-cherished action game series, and while not perfect, it is a respectably and solidly created game, contrary to what some outspoken fans would lead you to believe
Pros: Well-designed satisfying combat, Stylish graphics, A fresh take on the story with a great ending
Cons: Story is inconsistent in plot and dialogue quality, Higher difficulty levels and platforming segments aren’t as well thought out, Some frame rate and audio issues
Excerpt: Capcom introduced the world to the Devil May Cry series way back in 2001 and completely revolutionized the hack and slash action genre. Numerous game series of today owe a lot to the series for introducing many gameplay mechanics that are still the backbone of numerous titles, but recently, the...
Conclusion: A bright new beginning for Dante, Ninja Theory's DmC is a triumph and a positive first step towards things to come. Capcom's most successful collaboration with a western studio to date, DmC is also Ninja Theory's finest game. SSSensational.
Excerpt: It ain’t easy being Dante, particularly with the family strife surrounding this demon-hunter. In the Devil May Cry series, he’s had to deal with being born of a demon father, while often battling his sometimes-friend-sometimes-foe brother, Vergil.
Pros: + The series’ combat at its best, backed by a wide variety of weapons and moves., + Good music and great visuals, with a (mostly) excellent modernized story.
Cons: ? Can the sequel pit new Dante against the OG demon slayer?
Excerpt: When the first Devil May Cry game was released on PlayStation 2 it impacted the action genre heavily. Capcom had managed to create an action game that captured what only 2D action games had supplied to players at the time, including twitch based combat and crazy combo chains.
DmC Devil May Cry review: Better than the devil you know
14 January 2013
Summary: Thus far, DmC has been defined by the caustic relationship between Ninja Theory and a vocal subset of hateful fans. At the epicentre of the controversy is a new look Dante; he's not the Dante these fans want, entirely because he doesn't look like the Dante they know.
Pros: Deep combat systems, Interesting story and characters, An outstandingly designed array of environments
Cons: By the numbers boss encounters, Dull enemies, Occasional camera hiccups
Conclusion: DMC tem o que todos os games de ação merece ter. Muita pancadaria, batalhas frenéticas, roteiro bem escrito e gráficos "show de bola". Um game que vai marcar a possível última safra de jogos da atual geração de consoles.
