While the creators of Divinity II: Ego Draconis should be applauded for trying to make a deep and epic fantasy role-playing game, they really should have tried harder to make the basic mechanics work first. Basic combat feels dull and uninspired, while ranged combat is difficult to control. Read more

Concept: Explore a richly detailed fantasy world in your quest to become a dragon and stop an ancient evil Graphics: Environments are fabulous, but a mere half-dozen faces for each gender and wonky animations make the people less of a draw than the setting Sound: The content-appropriate score does its job, and most of the extensive voice work is solid Playability: The control itself isn’t bad, but horrific balancing will make you curse Entertainment: The sense of... "Divinity 2: Ego Draconis" kind of came out of nowhere, but is surprisingly good to be honest, especially considering the limited budget and release the game has got. There’s some definite real problems- the animation is more 1999 than 2009, and the frame-rate can get choppy, and even on easy the game is insanely difficult, and can be difficult to follow. The game is just an overall poor attempt at fun with a few moments of enjoyment sprinkled in randomly. If a game is something I cannot enjoy the first time or find terrible, I usually go back and give it a second or third chance. After doing so with Divinity my thoughts and opinions on the game remain static. While the game had a potential to be good, it failed to deliver on almost every aspect that makes a game good. Avoid it unless you are desperate for frustration or... Read more

Divinity II is a huge game that gives the player a lot of freedom. It is filled with incredibly fun quests, it's got a great storyline and the best dialogue/humour in ages! Read more

Unless the company created a patch you are unable to overwrite saves. Horrible glitch. My system locked-up during intense battles. Very big disappoint. The game had potential, but the glitches destroy any fun or potential this game ever had. Comment (1) Read more

A decent 3rd Person action rpg! The whole feel of this game is great, and the story works well in the confines of it. The being a dragon part of the game wasn't as good as I'd hoped, but the rest of the game more than made up for it. It can be tricky at points, but when you get past those bits it's a real feel of accomplishment. Check it out if you like these kind of games, or try Risen. Read more
