Summary: I loved Dirt 2 and thought this would be an upgrade but they've dumbed it down so much I just couldn't get into it. The in-game purchasing propaganda is over the top. Waste of money. -Used with the MS Forced Feedback Wheel.
Online code didn't work/Game didn't work in my newer xbox
17 September 2012
Summary: So I bought this game last winter. I own two xboxes, an old gray one and a new black one. The older one isn't online and for whatever reason I only played it on that unit for months. Last month I put the game into my new black xbox...it would work for a few minutes and then become unreadable. I tried to install it to the hard drive....no dice. I figured since I was on my "online" xbox i'd see if the code worked for online play...NOPE.
Summary: Bought an old Colin McRae Rally game at the same time as I had lost it and missed playing it. Thought this might be a whole lot better as it was several years newer. How wrong can you be. Its like going back to the dark ages of gaming. Totally unrealistic and utter rubbish.
Summary: The game is good but the £20 worth of DLC is not valid, even though the game was new. I will be contacting the seller and or amazon for a full refund. Very disappointed as the game took a long time to arrive and I was really looking forward to playing it, just to be let down by a DLC code that isn't valid.
Summary: this dirt 3 is rubbish nothing like 1 or 2 except its a rally game controls are too sensitive but no way to adjust them, graphics are good and thats about it, avoid this game and go for another rally title like FIA world rally champ, especially if you are getting on a bit and dont have the reflexes of a teenager anymore!!
Another racing game interested only in doing stunts

Summary: I should have read the reviews more carefully. The rally stages are fine, if a little short. But you quickly reach a point where you have to score points sliding around instead of going anywhere. Obsessed with drifting and donuts (sic) etc. You can't progress to the next level without achieving a certain score at this. I probably could get past this stage if I put some effort in. But there would then be another level later on. And I'd rather race.
Summary: ive been waiting 10 days for my order to be dispatched. also game is rubbish,i was expecting from dirt 3 something new and improved, but there no reason to buy this game if you have dirt 2. very short tracks, loooong and annoying loading time all the game - its like a 2 min wait for race to load and then 2 min max you race on a track. very cheap.booring voice giving you tips etc.
Conclusion: Very over-rated game. Not as good as the previous two. I was bored halfway through the second season. Visuals are impressive but I wouldn't say an improvement from Dirt 2. Its also very easy.
Not as good as it looks.. Another from codemasters.. disappointment

Summary: This game on paper looks great, More rally, which dirt two defiantly needed, less over the top american cheeseyness, better engine sounds and graphics.. But after playing it becomes clear that its just dirt two with abit more rally, the most frustrating thing is that they got it really right in dirt 1, good, rewarding and simple to follow career mode, In this its made up of four stupid triangles which all have a mixture of different events, and some smaller triangles...
