The game is played by accomplishing missions to advance, by fighting demons or other enemies, succeeding in tasks, or even solving the occasional puzzle. Ratings that help speed up advancement are based on a player’s speed, props use, combat style or injuries.

Creativity and guts will allow the player to advance. Players can also use Dante’s “Devil Trigger” which transforms him into a powerful demon temporarily. But it will take skill and style to reach the highest levels and finally avenge the murder of his parents.

Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus ruled from 54 to 68, focusing much of his attention on diplomacy, trade, and increasing the cultural capital of the empire. He ordered the building of theatres and promoted athletic games. In 68 a military coup drove Nero into hiding. Facing execution, he reportedly committed forced suicide. Read more

For the first time in the series you start off not playing as Dante. Instead you play as Nero, a young guy who has been infused with the Devil Bringer that he hides from Kyrie (Kee-ree-ay, not Ki-ree), a girl he really likes. The Devil Bringer constitutes Nero’s right arm and has a lot of special powers tied to it. The biggest power you will be using throughout the game is Nero’s ability to grab an opponent from far away and then slam him down with the Devil... Read more

is a great game for those that want pure and uncut action. The game may have its downsides (despite the heavily polished graphics there almost nothing new to the game), but you'll love to forgive them. The fundaments of the game may be the same for quite some time, they still stand tall. And as some people tend to say: old wine tastes best. Read more

  4. Never mind the devils -- it may be you who's crying after playing this gorgeous but oh-so-tough fighter.

Dismissing the game out of hand is easy: the plot is silly, the standard enemies don't vary much, and the level design amounts to little more than battle venues linked together with bland, featureless corridors and the occasional crap puzzle. But that'd be missing the point completely, and it only takes one hit to see why. Nail an encounter just right, ripping through your enemies with all the ferocity of a tornado in a knife warehouse, and you'll understand. You'll sit... Read more

Whether you’re a noob or a veteran DMC- fan, DMC4 is an excellent addition to any collection. From its beautiful graphics to its polished audio effects and music, DMC4 is a work of art. Sure, it’s not perfect, but even when you’re playing through the same levels again, using a different character does change the experience. Character #2 plays nothing like Nero and, with the weapons you pick up along the way, there’s defiantly a lot of chances for variance.... Read more

In Devil May Cry, you start off playing as Nero. You don't get to play as the main character, Dante until halfway through the game. Luckily, Nero is a fun character to play with, so not being able to play as Dante for a while is not unbearable. This game is all about style, with little else. The story is laughable, the characters other than Dante and Nero are forgettable. But I have to give it up to the devs, the boss fights in the game are EPIC!! Read more

Devil May Cry 4 may be the best in the series (in my opinion of course). The story is good, the graphics are great, and a lot of the fight cutscenes are awesome. Nero is the main character and he has an additional move over Dante, the grab. It adds a lot to the gameplay. However, Dante is still the best to play as in my opinion. The packaging for the Collector's edition is similar to Lost Planet CE's: a nice metal case. Overall a must buy. Read more

By the fourth installment, I thing everyone should have the picture by now. DMC is DMC and can never be anything else. Dark castles, over the top cut scenes, and the best action game controls ever. BOTTOM LINE: No need for an extensive review .... if you like DMC and DMC 3, then this game is for you. If you didn't like those games, maybe COD or Gears would be more up your alley. Read more or see product

Devil May Cry 4 is one game that'll pull you right into the storyline even if you never played any of the previous DMC-series games. The graphics and gameplay of DMC4 are the main elements that makes it a great game. The music is nice, could be better though but it's still nice. Capcom continues the good work. Read more

f you had asked me at the beginning of this generation which Capcom series I was most excited to see upgraded, I undoubtedly would have said Devil May Cry. Despite being a huge fan of the Resident Evil mythos, the gameplay of Devil May Cry has always grabbed my attention more. While are their core both games are quite similar (exploring 3D environments, solving insane and illogical puzzles, experience over-the-top narratives), something about the uber-stylized fast paced...
