Creativity and guts will allow the player to advance. Players can also use Dante’s “Devil Trigger” which transforms him into a powerful demon temporarily. But it will take skill and style to reach the highest levels and finally avenge the murder of his parents.

Whether you’re a noob or a veteran DMC- fan, DMC4 is an excellent addition to any collection. From its beautiful graphics to its polished audio effects and music, DMC4 is a work of art. Sure, it’s not perfect, but even when you’re playing through the same levels again, using a different character does change the experience. Character #2 plays nothing like Nero and, with the weapons you pick up along the way, there’s defiantly a lot of chances for variance.... Read more

It is early 2008, gamers haven't seen a new DMC game for 3 years, so anticipation for part 4 is naturally high. Expected to be a killer app for the PS3, fortunes change when Capcom decides to release the latest in the series on the Xbox 360 as well, the first for the series. Natural outrage from fanboys occurred, bemoaning the loss of one of their system's trump cards. I was pretty indifferent to this announcement, having viewed it as simply another reason not to pick up... Read more

Well after all this, where does "Devil May Cry 4" stand in the ranks of its predecessors? On the whole it stands up really well. Bar a few annoyances, it is a return to form and fans of the series won't be disappointed at all. For myself, I was expecting a little too much of the game and really wanted to see an end to the fixed cameras. The addition of the Gyro Blades certainly didn't help the cause and if it wasn't for the combat being so good and having so much depth,... Written by James Pikover Wednesday, 05 March 2008 It’s hard imagine a game being so good that you’ll want to play it over and over again, but so bad that it’s painful to do anything other than play it. That’s what Devil May Cry 4 is, the utter worst of the best. Since there are undoubtedly many people who haven’t played any of the Devil May Cry games because of its previous PlayStation exclusivity, many are trying it for the first time. For those readers,... Long awaited, hotly anticipated, and never understated, Capcom's Devil May Cry 4 for Xbox 360 arrives with all its expected stylishness and glam-goth-garishness intact -- and buffed, in fact, as Cry 4 also marks franchise's first showing in high-def on the new generation consoles, eye-candy for the soul. Oh yeah... Devil May Cry 4 is sleek, sexy, and satisfying as hell. You start off as a Nero, who looks somewhat like Dante, only not nearly as badass. He has a nice demon arm thingy that grabs enemies and throw them like ragdolls. As I grow more comfortable with the controls, I fight outlandish bosses and walk through painfully linear levels. After being a bully to endless waves of hapless losers for about half the game, the controls switch to Dante, who has enough... Read more

The devil‘s in the details. In the fantastical world that surrounds the city of Fortuna, the people worship Sparda, a rebel demon warrior and whose son, Dante, has been the wise–cracking bad ass demon hunter of the first three groundbreaking titles. Devil May Cry is steeped in pistol and sword–totting special moves, acrobatic third–person fighting and boss and bad guy chasing to make the screen shake. Around all this is a fantasy plot full of twists and turns,... Read more
