When everything is said and done, Another Code R is unquestionably Cing’s best attempt at creating a game that plays much like a novel. The controls have been fined tuned to perfection and the visual approach also impresses. The game is a blast to play from start to finish and, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the game is one of the few must-have Nintendo titles so far this year. Read more

    • A fairly lengthy and enjoyable mystery adventure.

In the end, Path of the Furon fails to raise the bar for the Destroy All Humans franchise, even taking some dramatic steps backward. While new weapons like the Venus Human Trap and new powers such as the ability to freeze time can be useful and amusing, even they can't disguise the repetitive and uninspired nature of the game's missions. And then there’s the dialogue and accompanying voice acting. There are indeed some funny jokes amid the many lines that make up the game’s script—both in cutscene chatter and incidental character comments (such as those you get when you read someone’s thoughts)—but the big laughs and even chuckles are buried in a ton of bad comedy writing, incredibly forced double entendre and out-and-out nastiness in trying to make Crypto come off like a lewd lecher. Being a DAH fan, I went ballistic over the release of yet another chapter in Crypto's fun-loving, empirically destructive yet always sarcastic life. Much to my dismay, I found this addition to the DAH game family to be a little less than entertaining. Certainly, the epic one liners sparked a few chuckles and the overall destruction and chaos I was able to wreak was enjoyable, but it seemed like a cliff-note version of something which could have been much, much better.
