Summary: Dead Space has wandered off the path of the horror game a bit. It just doesn't feel like the other two did, which is disappointing. The co-op is great though! The voice acting between both players creates a sense that the co-op partner is part of the story instead of an extra NPC that none of the other characters know is there helping the main character.
Summary: I find myself enjoying this game more then the other two, but there is a very significant thing that people needs to be aware of: This game no longer is scary, at all. It no longer relies on the atmosphere, creepy machines (such as the eye machine in DS2), disturbing creatures (such as the necromorph babies in DS2),less frightening/disturbing death scenes, etc. It now simply throws enemies at you, in a very predictable way at that.
Summary: Really a great game, as always a terrific deal from Amazon, directly though EA. A good game, not as great as the first, slightly less terrific than the second. Really a stand-alone tedious affair, to be honest. I digress. It's a great game but with a sense of being bogged down by it's story and total lack of connectivity to its predecessors.
Summary: I love the Dead Space series. However, this would be the weakest of the three in my opinion. The game still remains incredibly fun to play though and I definitely enjoyed it. I did not really enjoy the coop aspect, as I felt it took away from the game a bit and the development time for it could have been spent better elsewhere. Still, a very good game.
Summary: I personally feel dead space 2 was the best in the dead series. It was the right amount of action and horror. This is a great game for co op fans or action fans not particularly horror fans. Ea is known for selling action games so they wanted it to be more for action shooter fans so they added co op, universal ammo, open areas. Its a great game don't get me wrong but i wanted to be scared, i wanted to be on my toes but it doesn't really happen.
More action-y than the Dead Space 1 and 2, but still fun.

Summary: Short and Sweet: This title suffered mostly from publisher ideas being forced up the design teams' butt. This title plays more like Gears of War than Dead Space 1 or 2, it is impossible to be afraid when you're wielding an Acid Grenade launcher and a shotgun. The game gets hectic, and it will keep you on your toes, but it's very rarely scary. Still good though, liked it a lot. EA needs to butt out on the next one, let the developers do their thing.
