Great game, even with a few bumps

rakuten
25 April 2013
  • Summary: What CAPCOM delivered here is slighly different from what most expected. The game takes place over 3 days, & within those 3 days u have to follow the game's main storyline within set time limits.

Zombies

rakuten
3 February 2013
  • Summary: This is definitely not a game for the younger crowd as it is very gory. I think Capcom has a hit on their hands and hopefully they can work it into a sequel in some way with improvements to the aforementioned bumps but hopefully they will get a patch over Live to help correct the text problems.

Fun game

Andrew G., Newegg
21 December 2010
  • Summary: Definitely worth adding to your game library. Looking forward to playing Dead Rising 2.
  • Pros: This is a fun game, and is basically like George Romero's Dawn of the Dead movie. There are a lot of zombies, and an equal number of different ways to eliminate them (some of which are quite amusing and gruesome). In fact, this is often more rewarding than accomplishing the missions. If you're a ...
  • Cons: The save system only allows you to save games in a single slot, which may cause issues as you progress through the game. But I think that I understand why it was done this way, to promote the survivor experience. Also, some of the "psychopath"/boss characters are quite difficult to defeat. Rescue...

Good, but not great zombie game

hub0524, Ebay
8 October 2009
  • Summary: The plotline of the game is revealed to the player through a series of cinematic cut-scenes, and through the use of case files. Since the gameplay time is hinged on an accelerated 72-hour period, it’s up to players to manage their time wisely.

Dead Rising

Allen L., Newegg
28 September 2009
  • Summary: If your A fan of the old zombie movie Dawn of the Dead, than pick this game up.The game is cool but also very frustrating.
  • Pros: This be honest, this is A game based of the old zombie movie Dawn of the Dead.Even though it says right on the package it isn't.Wich is cool, and the reason I bought the game to begin with. I was amazed by the sheer amount of enemies that were on screen at once.Everything is A weapon. The mall is pr...
  • Cons: The irritating time limit the game gives you to complete objectives is way to short.Wich is the major flaw in the game. Also try to guide the npc`s to safety is a pain and A chore. They will wander of on there own and get attacked by zombies.Or for no reason try to fight or kill A zombie.

If you've ever hated an NPC...

Nicholas A., Newegg
30 June 2009
  • Summary: Definitely worth playing at least once, though the replay is pretty good, too.
  • Pros: Challenging and addictively fun. Above-average plot, as well. You'll never tire of trying to find new ways to kill zombies.
  • Cons: The poor AI of the characters you have to save makes most of the rescue missions EXTREMELY frustrating. On more than one occasion, I let an NPC die a terrible zombie death just so I didn't have to deal with them any longer.

Dawn of the Dead Rising

thebluebomber, Ebay
3 April 2009
  • Summary: First off I decided to buy the game for practice when the zombie apocalypse happens. I got the game long after it was out and on here for cheap! The idea of the game is great; you're Frank West a hard nosed free lance journalist who travels to Willamette, Colorado where you end up in the city mall...

Phantasy Star Universe Reader Review - 8.5

Mr Black, IGN Entertainment
23 June 2008
  • Conclusion: I have been playing for a few years on the gamecube Phantasy Star episode one and two. Its the game I refer to as the morrowind of the gamecube, you could play it for just about ever trying to find weapons and armor and the levels never seem to stop that you gain.

Releif!

AFLandShark, Amazon
15 February 2008
  • Summary: A great way to vent after a long day of annoying people. Just run around and slash, stab, shot, blow-up, dismantle, and kill as many zombies as your heart desires. If you want, you can even name them after your boss... just before cutting him in half with a chainsaw. A GREAT stress relief!
