Taking on the identity of Frank West, the player searches for what is behind the epidemic of zombies by handling “case files” that expose the central story. By accomplishing certain tasks, more and more “case files” are exposed. Certain scenes can also be discovered as he explores, revealing more of the truth bit by bit. By taking pictures of these with his camera, the player garners “Prestige Points”. These points increase fighting capabilities. The mall also has numerous levels with stores containing items that Frank can use as weapons or to improve his health. The only thing left to do is survive.
