Summary: I used to love DoA. I played all the games from the first one on up. Admittedly, I am not very good, but with enough practice and determination, I was able to unlock everything in all the other games. I was severely disappointed, in this game. The graphics are really not that much better than DoAU, the new characters are lame, the unlockables for each character are limited (Remember DoAU, with 14+ costumes for most characters?
Summary: i didn't liked the game one bit but since i bought it for my brothers they liked the game as they say its Awesome because of the violence. but for me non of the story lines made sense so if you don't give a damn about the story line and only care about the fighting.
Summary: ive played the 1st and 2nd dead or alive. so when i saw DOA4, i had to pick it up. the good part is the fighting and action is still awesome. the fighters are still hot! (the female fighters). plenty of costumes to unlock. and has good extra features that any DOA fan would like, plus it looks great in HD. the bad part about this game is the final battle with the hitomi prototype. is WAAAY too difficult to beat.
Summary: The graphics are good, Game play is decent... But there is nothing special about the game... Everyone has played this type of game over and over AND OVER again... Go out and rent this one before dropping the cash....
Summary: DOA 4 is both one of the nicest looking games currently available on the Xbox 360 and one of the most difficult. Without an easy mode, it's impossible to get past the first couple of rounds in any of the modes if you are a casual player. For those who want to dedicate hours to master the control scheme, DOA 4 could be a "5 star" game.
Summary: In redesigining Dead or Alive for the XBOX 360, Team Ninja seems to have systematically removed any element of fun from the game. By drastically changing the countering system, by increasing the challenge, and by introducing a new boss, somehow they lost that which made the other games enjoyable in the first place. First, the countering system.
Summary: Pros + Amazing Graphics. + Fun characters. (Unlockable Master Chief!!!) + Fast-action. Cons - Glitches & collision detection problems. - Online play tends to lag & AI can be difficult. - Unlocking characters & achievements both can tend to be ridiculous. Comments DOA4 is stunning visually & gameplay can be fast & fun but there is still so much that should be done to improve the gameplay. The cinematics are beautiful but they really don't go anywhere towards a real story.
Summary: The game itself graphically and fluidity of movement is amazing but it's learning curve and difficulty to properly counter moves is very unnerving. In the past games you could stop an opponent's barage quite easily by doing a counter. In this one you may as well but good luck actually getting it to work, you have to be millisecond perfect this round and oh yeah guess what the computer though can counter you quite regularly so most of the time you are playing to get lucky...
Conclusion: completed it rather quickly (in about 4 hours) but online is good too ,the counter system isn;t as good as they said ,they said you could counter counter moves and so on but you can't. the graphics are amazing ,brad wong especally is looking rather life like but now looks more like kurt cobain than brad wong .
