A decent, genuinely creepy horror/RPG (single player review)

Summary: I don't like horror: not games, not movies, not books. This game drew me in spite of the aforementioned fact, as well as its flaws. Set on a tropical island, the four playable characters(each with different strengths but not really different story lines) awake one morning to chaos in the resort hotel they are staying in.
Summary: It really comes alive though when you're allowed to explore at you're leisure. Taking on side quests can be a bit If anyone has seen zombie flesh eaters (1979) then you would agree Dead island has similar qualities, most likely due to the fact they both include a tropical island and zombies.I love the realistic touches and the added difficulty some of it presents and I for one will be having fun with this game for a long time.
Summary: DISCLAIMER I am not a game player. At 44, I get more enjoyment watching my kids play than playing myself. (I'm a flight Sim guy). This review is based of of my 12 year olds reaction to playing the game. They play a lot of games and I have learned which games they prefer and go to vs those they play when bored. I can tell if they are truly entertained. This game definately entertained.
