Summary: I purchased this under the misconception that I'd be able to play co-op on one system, so it's really my own fault for not reading closely enough about the game. From what I've seen, it looks like it would be a fun game like a more realistic looking L4D. However, I have no interest in going through the campaign alone and my friends and I don't plan on paying for Live anytime soon, so I'll be passing on this one.
Summary: The game is nice altho I didn't like it as much as I hoped. Many people said it was one of the best cooperative multiplayer experiences out there, and I did enjoy it, just not as much as them.
Summary: So long I have waited for a Zombie RPG/survival game and I found it...when I bought Dead Space 1. This game has the combat of Skyrim with zombies. The game has RPG elements, but it feels weird calling it an RPG alongside games like Borderlands and Dark Souls. Personally I bought this game for about $14 and I regret it for that price. I'd place the value of this game at $5 or less.
Summary: I know I'll get heat for this but I just didn't like this game. It never felt right the whole time I played it. Kinda clunky and awkward is a good way to explain it. The idea and story itself are good, but the gameplay I felt fell far short of being great. I'll probably give the next game a try and hopefully they address some of the issues with this one. Graphics were ok, I wasn't overly impressed with them nor did I think they were awful.
Summary: I was smitten with this game when I first played it, I loved the idea of zombies combined with the tropical scenery, especially from Banoi. But, after a while, it becomes evident that the weapon system was semi-ripped off from Borderlands, minus the fact that there are melee weapons that can break and be thrown, as well as grenades.
Summary: First off.. This game has many technical flaws. A pinch of my quests were bugged, causing me to start over checkpoint to continue -______-.. and the graphics are very mediocre. The game has difficulty loading explosions and several enemies running everywhere, flames, water textures.. And throughout it gets very very annoying and ruins the experience.
Summary: Dead Island is a game. Dead Island is a game with Zombies in it. Dead Island is a game with Zombies in it, and some pretty big flaws to its design. See how daunting it might have been to read the above? Thats how the game felt to me by the end of my month with this game. I just kind of wanted it to end. Dead Island at its core concept is a very fun game, Kill zombies in first person, without a large focus on shooting or being a mega-soldier.
Summary: I was looking for a new zombie game after having fun with Left For Dead 1 & 2 on-line. The is much slower as a game than those games. I didn't like it at all at first but after I got use to the game play it grew on me. It is more like Fall Out the LFD 1 & 2. Still like LFD more.
Summary: This game is a lot of fun, make no mistake. My husband and I bought it for the PC and argued over who got to play at any given time enough that I ordered a copy for the Xbox as well! In my opinion, it's even more fun on the Xbox; it's scarier on our tv (which, admittedly, is a decent 42 inch HD LCD), the controls for driving vehicles are easier/better for me, and overall the gameplay feels a little bit smoother. The cons: 1. No way to map controls on the console version.
