Summary: My friend gave this to me for my birthday, so I played it a little. It stunk. I can see why he got rid of it. In the 1st level you have to shoot down a helicopter with a PISTOL! I would not recommend this game to ANYONE!
Summary: Worst game ever. There's no health bar so u can't be certain how aggressive u should be playing. Terrible weapons: the main weapon is a glaive which is like a lame version of a boomerang. y can't hang onto guns that long or they explode. when u take off running the camera goes sideways, which gives u a headache. the environment's colors are either totally gray and bland or almost pitch black dark. the graphics are Ok but not enough to save the game. just a lame game.
Summary: The controls are granite in their sluggishness. Character movement is lethargic, and aim is very counterintuitive in its ratio of movement to crosshair travel. You are thrown into the game without chosing a difficulty (that I noticed) and without any instruction what so ever... Left to just walk forward until something flashes in-game, or until you can't go any further. They figure that by chance, you'll run into the items that trigger tutorial pop-ups. This is terrible.
Summary: Would not recommend. This was one of the most frustrating games I have played. Glitchy gameplay, camera angles lacking, control of character lacking, frustrating chapter 4 boss, started hard and ended up being so aggravating I stopped at chapter 4. Games should be fun first (while challenging) , but if too hard to get past 1 level you end up not wanting to buy the second in the series. (although I do not see a dark sector 2 being made).
Summary: When I first read previews and seen trailers for Dark Sector, I was over excited, a game where you are slowly turning into a monster and must fight your way through already infected people, awesome. I was way off. Dark Sector has built its image so far on hype, and thats all it is, a bunch of hype. Though most message boards, its agreed, this game is either a love it or a hate it. I'm unfortunately the latter.
Summary: This game is just plain not fun. The intro level is the best part, and when they bring the infection in, the game isn't fun anymore. The multiplayer is dead, the achievements are grinding, and it doesn't really bring any interesting mechanics to the table that weren't better in games both before and after it. Just not worth it.
