Summary: This game is one of the best shooting games out there you can grab hold of. The Civil War in here is just amazing! One of the only games where you actually fight and shoot in line like they really did, not little side-mission garbage like in Secret Missions or A Nation Divided. The moans of the wounded are very accurate, and the gameplay was not afraid to show blood whenever you hit your targets.
Summary: Since several other reviews have already explained what this game is about, I'll keep it short and sweet. In my opinion, This game is great! While the graphics aren't that great, This game is alot of fun and should be given a chance. 9/10 Thanx for reading.
Summary: I really liked this game and don't understand why it is getting such harsh reviews. I liked the ideas and the locations were interesting and somewhat educational. The WW2 section had some chilling moments and overall the game is fun and challenging. I congratulate the efforts of the developers and I am glad I ignored the reviews and played a game that interested me and delivered a very enjoyable and unique gaming experience. Well done team, make some more.
Summary: bought a brand new xbox 360. bought both new and used xbox and xbox 360 games. every game worked fine except for this brand new game. :( it played but caused the console to make a really loud buzzing sound. Seller even sent another brand new disc of this game and at first it played fine: no buzzing but now it's buzzing as well. :( not as loud as the first one but still loud enough to be worrysome.
Summary: It is rare to see games with the effect of time traveling in them, when I found out about Darkest of Days and how you get to "time travel" in it, I was totally into getting it, and I did and it is awesome. The game follows the story of a man named Alexander Morris, a soldier in General Custer's army.
Summary: Like I said, waste of time & money. I thought this game would be awesome, it was not to be. I liked the storyline, where several people went "missing" in history, but in reality, were plucked by futuristic people and given high-tech weapons and changed history. I liked this to begin with. The thing that sucked about it, was there was no in game mission objectives & no map to guide you. The better games are the "Civil War A Nation Divided" & "Civil War Secret Missions.
A Rough, Unpolished Game That's Still Enjoyable And Unique
3 April 2014
Summary: "Darkest Of Days," developed by 8Monkey Labs and published by Phantom EFX, immediately stands out as something completely unlike everything else. It centers around time travel where you fight in various wars throughout history, like the Civil War, WWI, WWII, and ancient Rome. Sadly, it's really rough around the edges in many areas, but it still manages to be engaging and nail-biting.
Summary: I got this for the PC. The controls are good. I have a Windows 8 computer with a 4 GB processor and the graphics are only slightly messed up (at times when there are a lot of guys on screen it glitches and a guy slides across the screen instead of running). I got the game mostly for the Civil war battles. The makers of the game did a good job on the realism of the battle scenes and that time period weapons.
