Dance Paradise

Family Friendly Gaming
2 February 2013
  • Excerpt: Dance games have become all the rage in recent years. Just Dance has gotten people off the couch and dancing around. THQ does not want to be left out of the party so they have released Dance Paradise on the Xbox 360. This dance game uses Kinect. Which is much more accurate than holding a Wii Remote. That also means it is a lot less forgiving. After seeing some of the dance moves in Dance Paradise you may be asking how do they do that?

  • Conclusion: The biggest fault of the game is that it can become extremely repetitive if you are working through the career mode alone.  It's also not specifically a game that will teach you to dance.  It's more of a casual game that's worth bringing out for parties, especially those that are new to the Kinect.  However, the cute Wii-like design and the song selection seem to be at odds with easy other.

Dance Paradise

  • Excerpt: Okay... there are way too many dance titles out for Kinect! How can a gamer keep up, especially one who likes to dance? Thankfully you have your good ones, your bad ones and your average ones which will make your selection a hell of a lot easier. With that said, Dance Paradise borders on the average dance game and boasts cutesy graphics, the ability to use your XBox 360 avatars and a learning curve that goes from super easy to super difficult.

GameSpot
18 November 2010
  • Summary: UK REVIEW--There are already a number of takes on motion-controlled dance games, with the likes of Dance Central , DanceMasters , and Just Dance each putting their own unique stamp on the genre. Dance Paradise offers up yet another new way of presenting routines that is more complex, but still works well. A large tracklist includes a variety of pop, dance, and rock songs, while a full career mode and a two-player versus mode make it fun on your own or with friends.
  • Pros: Great selection of songs, Engaging multiplayer, Challenging career mode, Good use of avatars
  • Cons: No training for novices, Some overly complex routines

Dance Paradise
