Summary: I picked this game up from gamestop the other day thinking it would be a decent game. After going through the game, over 90% of the game is like playing gears of war mixed in with 10% god of war. This game is a fun, but overall not totally worth it. It is too much like playing a western version of gears of war. The basis of the game is a superpower whos industrial technology was far superior to that of the United States, came in and took over the Country.
Summary: I had not read a review on this game but from what I could see I thought it might be a nice FPS game, well was I disappointed, it was more of a sucky game it makes your jump around and it was supposed to be based in civil war, I really didn't know that they had robots in the civil war, It was not very well laid out, the controls were very hard to do, everything about the game was very bad, I ended up trading it in to get a different game, basically I lost about half what...
Summary: PROS - none CONS - bad Gears of War clone minus cover system (which the game desperately needs). steampunk? where's all the riveted leather and gears and clocks and stuff? Gears of War from the visuals down the sound of the weapons, plus some banal tomb raider/uncharted jumping from ledge-to-ledge garbage. - inexcusable end boss battle without checkpoints. only way to get through it (even on easy) is luck. not skill.
Summary: this has gotta be one of the worst games on the xbox360 along with turning point. first of all the graphics are really bad. you think the gameplay would make up for it but it doesnt. you get lost a lot dont know where to go,enemies are really stupid most of the time just stand around. the levels arent even cool looking there all bland and look the same. the aiming in this is bad, no cover system. the story and voice acting are terrible.
Summary: Don't be fooled by the 4/5 rating this game somehow has on this page! There is really only one place to begin... Damnation is just not a good game. The story is irrevelent and dumb, the boss fights are easy, the driving sequences are awful, controls arent great, enemy AI is extremely stupid, your partners are terrible, graphics are so-so and the levels are extremely long. This game is first and foremost a shooter. There is alot of platforming involved also.
Summary: Might possibly be the worst game I've ever played in twenty+ years of gaming. One of the first things you'll noticed is how repetitive this game is. Animations, voice acting, and game play are like a single CD set on repeat. In addition, the aiming and weapons (especially the machine gun) are near useless. The most annoying part of this game are the elevator rides.
Summary: This game is pretty much bad in every way possible. It tries to combine a platformer with a shooter - and fails at both. The platforming is dull, dumbed down and doesn't feel fluid at all. The shooter part simply feels tacked on. The cutscenes and graphics are awful. The story is boring..., the list could go on and on. The only thing that this game has going for it is the steampunk setting, but it does nothing to really draw you into it.
Summary: This has to be one of the worst games I have played in some time. Everything from graphics(which appear to be just a cut above the original xbox graphics, but barely) to the gameplay itself which is hideous to say the least. Guns hardly hurt your foes and your bullets look like tiny darts. Said bullets sound like the noise kids make when pretending to fire guns at one another. When you shoot an enemy in the head their head simply disappears.
Excerpt: I wanted to like this game after playing it at PAX last year where it was in 'Alpha' status. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to have progressed beyond that. It has a great idea but it isn't used well at all.
