Not So Classic

Mr. I. Simms "I Simms", amazon.co.uk
18 February 2014
  • Summary: Crackdown features an amusing premise that /could/ make for a good game, but an extremely lazy approach to mission structure renders it little more than a sandbox novelty rather than something you will be desperate to play to completion.

Mr. R. Sillifant, amazon.co.uk
17 May 2009
  • Summary: After seeing this get great reviews in the press and being avaiable nice and cheap,i took the plunge and purchased it.More fool me. Basically?-It`s another sandbox/GTA clone, but with cartoony graphics and a super hero cop.No problems with that.sounded like a laugh.

Skills for kills, but do they pay the bills?

fringepla..., Ciao
15 October 2008
  • Excerpt: A strategy guide for a game like Crackdown is always going to be a difficult one to make. Traditionally, open world games tend to have guides that run into the hundreds and hundreds of pages, allowing for every single side-quest and extra bonus item found within the game.
  • Pros: Completing story mode is easy enough with this guide
  • Cons: Poorly laid out orb maps

"Fun but repetitive"

Ben, Mighty Ape
21 December 2007
  • Summary: Similar to grand theft auto but not as in depth and very repetitive Fun at first, but all you really have to do is run around and kill gang bosses. By the end of the game you are rather bored with this as each boss seems like the last.

Looks nice...

Deano, Game Seek
12 December 2007
  • Conclusion: ...but lacks avery important aspect of any video game - decent gameplay! Great, you can run around in a free roaming environment, and shoot bad guys, and...er thats it!!? I think i’ll go and play ICO on my ageing PS2 instead.

No problem at all with packaging or schedules...

escaruncho, Amazon
1 December 2007
  • Summary: The game got here on time and it's in perfect condition. It's the game itself I don't like. A very confusing GTA clone where dozens of info/missions start off in the the first 10 minutes of the game.

Like pac man but more expensive

Blakey, amazon.co.uk
3 October 2007
  • Summary: Crackdown is fairly typical of the third person run/shoot/drive genre in all but one respect. Most games of this type (GTA, Saints Row) are split into three distinct parts ... Missions, activities and free roaming fun.

Filler... At best

J. Shilling, amazon.co.uk
23 April 2007
  • Summary: Granted the game does allow you a large amount of freedom and the likes but it doesnt take away from the fact that this game will take you if your like me... five hours to complete the games sad excuse for a story line and level up your main skills to level 4.

Frustratingly dissapointing...

Mark Twain "Mark", amazon.co.uk
31 March 2007
  • Summary: I recently purchased an xbox 360 from amazon and decided it would be smart to take advantage of the offer to buy both Gears Of War and Crackdown for just £15 with the console. Don't get me wrong the deal is still an absolute bargain especially considering what a masterpiece Gears Of War is but I...
