Summary: The graphics are a coin toss, mainly because it has a cartoon-like appeal that you'd find in games like Borderlands. The gameplay is simple, you have two guns and a supply of grenades and you can switch them anytime if you choose. There are a lot of different weapons but they are all pretty much the same. There was really nothing to distinguish say one assault rifle from the next, other than clip size.
Summary: Okay. This was just a nightmare of a gaming experience. Just, unbeliavably terrible. Just downright horrible. To be completely honest, this wouldn't be a bad game for ten years ago. Or maybe for 2001 or 2002, as a late N64 or PS1 title. But considering this game is pretty recent,it's downright inexcusable. So why is this game so bad. Well, to sum it up, it's EXTREMELY hard, to the point of frustrating. Not to mention randomly spawning enemies. That's right.
Summary: After seeing this get great reviews in the press and being avaiable nice and cheap,i took the plunge and purchased it.More fool me. Basically?-It`s another sandbox/GTA clone, but with cartoony graphics and a super hero cop.No problems with that.sounded like a laugh. However, the simple fact is........the on-foot gameplay is ruined by the WORST camera system i have ever come across. It`s awfull. And since a large % of the game is based with you being on foot?.............
Summary: Crackdown is fairly typical of the third person run/shoot/drive genre in all but one respect. Most games of this type (GTA, Saints Row) are split into three distinct parts ... Missions, activities and free roaming fun. Crackdown has the missions and the activities (sort of), but as far as the free roaming fun part goes, forget it.
Excerpt: "Though the game looks nice and for the most part moves well I find this game some what boring. I know I may be berated for saying so but it is a little tedious in my opinion. If you like the GTA titles then you will probably enjoy this as it is similar in some ways but it does have a few nice touches, but also a few things missing to really get the game a good mark from myself. I find the story line very linea, although the world is massive and ...
Pros: Lovely graphics, Massive world to investigate, good online play (co - op)
Summary: Granted the game does allow you a large amount of freedom and the likes but it doesnt take away from the fact that this game will take you if your like me... five hours to complete the games sad excuse for a story line and level up your main skills to level 4. At which point the game becomes incredibly boring, the highlights of this game being the ability to pick up heavy objects and throw them, jump long distances and the optional street races.
Summary: I recently purchased an xbox 360 from amazon and decided it would be smart to take advantage of the offer to buy both Gears Of War and Crackdown for just £15 with the console. Don't get me wrong the deal is still an absolute bargain especially considering what a masterpiece Gears Of War is but I must say that after a few hours of gameplay Crackdown seems pretty awful. The graphics look nice, cartoony but nice none the less.
Summary: After playing the demo and full version of this I can only conclude that the Halo 3 Beta is the only reason why this game will sell. It is just anotehr bad GTA clone. The graphics are appauling and whatever that is they tried really did not work. The gameplay has about as much attraction as a bucket of dead fish. As far as I can see the only reason why this game may sell well is due to the Halo3 Beta which has to be included with it so that it sells.
