Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 Review

IGN Entertainment
11 March 2010
  • Conclusion: By far the biggest complaint I have is with the tedium that comes out of the Skills Training. The events seem to be set up to be the same until you hit your next “level” (such as Pro or Master). The lack of shot randomization not only makes running through the drills an almost interminable pursuit, but it also doesn’t help players (as in the ones holding the controller, not their onscreen characters) improve their skills, as should be the case.

Crackdown

Strategy Informer
3 January 2008
  • Conclusion: Crackdown overall won’t be delivering a deep story, but it does deliver unbound and unique fun in this crazy futuristic Pacific City. Leaping about, blowing or tossing stuff down the street, up a building, threw bad guys …crime fighting has never been so much fun. Real Time Worlds has done a marvellous job with spreading justice, yes there are some problems and areas that could be better but this is one ride you won’t be soon forgetting.

  • Conclusion: All elements are loaded on the fly as you approach an area. It works incredibly well, making the game non-stop action and difficult to put down. The game play is completely over the top but is varied enough for it not to get dull. Great mindless fun!

Expert Review

18 October 2007
  • Excerpt: It does give the game a wash, rinse, repeat feel since you do the same thing on each island. But as you progress through the different islands, the gangs become tougher as their weapons improve and their total numbers grow. To help better combat the enemies, your character is able to grow in five different skill areas: agility (helps jumping and running speed), driving (lets you control cars better), explosives (ups the effectiveness of explosives), strength (lets you...
