Xbox 360/PC Review - 'Conflict: Denied Ops'

WorthPlaying
7 May 2008
  • Summary: Conflict: Denied Ops puts players in control of two of these merciless operatives, each of them highly specialized in both weapons and military tactics. With gameplay focused on accessible two-man tactics, utilize simple commands and switch seamlessly between team mates to lay down covering fire, explore diverging paths, create distractions and pin the enemy under fire.

  • Conclusion: The announcement of a next generation Conflict game excited the masses, but will unfortunately disappoint the majority of people who are unlucky enough to purchase a copy of this game. Pivotal Games decided to take the Conflict series into a First-Person perspective for the first time, but in all honesty, they should have stuck with their roots and produced another solid Third-Person Shooter for us to revel in.

Conflict: Denied Ops

Game Over Online
7 March 2008
  • Excerpt: Over the past few years there’s been a growing emphasis on co-operatively gameplay, so much so that we’re beginning to see games designed specifically with co-op in mind. One such game is Conflict: Denied Ops. This is actually the fifth game in the Conflict series from developer Pivotal Games, but it’s the first to focus on a two-man team, as opposed to a four-man squad, and the first to utilize a first-person perspective instead of a third-person view.

Conflict: Denied Ops Review

OXCGN
10 February 2014
  • Conclusion: I love shooters. It’s just that there are so many of them on the 360. This means that I’ve been there done that so many times that even Call of Duty 4 doesn’t seem that innovative. And Conflict: Denied Ops is no Call of Duty 4. Far from it. Still, it is very easy to compare all shooters to COD4 and dismiss any that aren’t as exciting or have the same production values.

Conflict Denied Ops

xboxfrance.com
18 December 2008

Conflict: Denied Ops (Xbox 360)

Gamesurf
6 March 2008
