Summary: This game starts out well enough, the environments are creepy and make you nervous. The enemies, however, are not very scary and the combat is frustrating. The game has guns in it, but the focus is on melee combat, which would have been fine, but the melee combat itself hinges on a COMPLETELY...
Summary: like ppl have said before the engine doesnt let this game reach its full potential (which mind you STILL isnt that good) . the scares as mentioned before are cheap, copied from FEAR and lame, in some of the reviews they said "Even the hardened veterans of the world's best horror games will find this...
Summary: Ugly graphics, Dull combat, so so storyline. Basically, wander down an ugly brick hallway, beat a guy with a pipe, and then get stopped in your tracks by a small chair maybe a pile of cardboard boxes blocking the hall, and spend the next 10 minutes going the long way around.
Summary: The whole game engine is awkward and practically on rails...you can't crouch or even jump(!) unless the game allows it at certain points (I know FPS veterans won't believe that one - try the demo and see).
Summary: The controls are terrible and the engine makes you feel like you're moving underwater. The melee combat is not fun, and there's lots of that. I think investigating the crime scenes, while not great, is a whole lot more fun than the rest of the action.
Conclusion: Not usually a fan of these games, but gave it a go after downloading the demo. Graphics, sound and gameplay are very good, but the gameplay gets very samey after the first chapter. Would have been very dissapointed if i had bought this as I completed it in 2 days.
Summary: Well, based on all the recommendation I got this one, and frankly, after three hours its boring as hell.Endlessly You wander through static, lifeless buildings, beeing attacked by rather strange enemies, using an unforgiving combat system and sometimes detective tools.
Excerpt: In Condemned you play as a cop who ends up framed for murder by a serial killer he has been investigating. There is more to this than meets the eye, as various other characters play games with the protagonist, and something is seriously wrong with the street people, and it is spreading.
Summary: Sorry to go against the flow, but I followed the reviews of this game on Amazon and thought, - I like Resident Evil, so I should love this - WRONG ! It is scary and dark, and it does make you jump on the odd occasion, but the fun ends there.
