Condemned: Criminal Origins - Game Accessibility Review

ablegamers.com
24 August 2010
  • Excerpt: Visuals: Condemned is a very dark game with a very dark and grey color palette. Although the game has a brightness control that can be adjusted at any time during the game, it can still often be hard to see even with perfect eyesight. Additionally, this game lacks another feature that many other dark games have; something that calls your attention to items that can be picked up.

World Series of Poker: Tournament of Champions Review

IGN Entertainment
11 March 2010
  • Conclusion: Poker video games thrive on offering players as much poker as possible, not necessarily good poker (good as in the level of competition, not in how it’s portrayed). Certainly, WSoP: ToC is a solid game from that standpoint. The next step that game makers need to take is improving and varying the AI challenge, so you get realistic competition that’ll test your skills at adapting and “changing gears” so you can succeed against a wide range of gameplay styles.

Condemned: Criminal Origins Review

IGN Entertainment
9 February 2008
  • Conclusion: Gamers who think they have the nerve to play a terrifying game in the middle of the night, with the lights off, should give Condemned a try. If anyone manages to play this one in a dark room without jumping out of their seats or looking over their shoulder, has nerves of steel. Condemned is a great effort and easily the best looking first-person melee game we’ve ever seen.

  • Excerpt: Games such as Silent Hill and Resident Evil have already placed themselves in the hall of Survival Horror “greats.” What could Condemned possibly do that “The Suffering” and “Siren” could not?

Condemned: Criminal Origins

True achievements
28 July 2007
  • Conclusion: If you allow yourself to follow my line of thinking- Condemned limited ammo and limited reliance on ammunition makes Condemned the best launch FPS - and Call of Duty 2's endlessly spawning bad guys and bullet time life-or-death trials of error as you try to advance from checkpoints to checkpoint was the best puzzle title available at launch. Or maybe I'm just being retarded.

Condemned: Criminal Origins

Gaming Evolution
24 July 2007
  • Conclusion: It has been several years since we have seen a title that has been able to keep gamers glued to the seats and wondering what’s around the next corner. Resident Evil started it all, and it seems that Monolith and Sega has reinvented the horror genre with their own flavor. The game isn’t relatively long, so the only real I can see someone playing through this title again is if they played it during the day time, and where to chicken to try it at night, with the lights...
