Conclusion: In addition to the single-player campaign, there's an online-only multiplayer mode that should keep you busy for a few hours. Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you look at it), this game isn't likely to take over your life like Rainbow Six Vegas or even Gears of War . Still, it's fun and it looks excellent, carrying over the stellar visuals from the single-player game.
Summary: I really wanted to like this game but I know the ultimate fate of College Hoops for me. It will be returned by the end of the spring when I am no longer interested in College Hoops. The legacy mode has me hooked with all the options such as switching teams to other conference but it will only last so long until I move on. The only way you should buy this is if you are hooked into the March Madness fever like I am right now.
Pros: Legacy Mode, Shot Stick, Rivalry Mode, Create a Team.
Cons: Graphics are nothing impressive, commentary is shoddy.
Conclusion: Sound und Musik: 6/10 Mir gefällt der ingame Sound.
Excerpt: When 2K Sports launched NBA 2K6 with the Xbox 360, they managed to cram every bit of the current-gen version into the game while redefining the graphics and tightening some of the gameplay elements. With their college franchise, they hoped to find similar success just in time for March Madness and the NCAA Tournament. College Hoops 2K6 for the Xbox 360 is an airball that is ultimately a disappointing basketball game that should have been sidelined until next season.
Conclusion: Pitting 2K's college game against EA's is a close call, but ultimately I suppose that this game's better price and A.I. give it the edge. Someone needs to fire the coach before it's guaranteed a tourney berth, though.
Pros: Deep Legacy mode, Good A.I., Different shot types
Cons: That are hard to control, Coaching isn't playing, Spamming isn't recruiting, Defense isn't interesting
Excerpt: The new college try. While the NBA has enforced a mandatory dress policy to reel in the thuggish look of its players, college basketball has maintained a downy, innocent appeal, holding fast to the traditions of fair play and teamwork that has always been at the heart of basketball. Or maybe not. Still, any true college hoops fan will yell until the face paint runs into his frenzied eyes that the college game is not just different, but better than the NBA.
Pros: Deep Legacy mode, Good A.I., Different shot types, That are hard to control, Coaching isn't playing, Spamming isn't recruiting, Defense isn't interesting
Conclusion: Ikaruga is a game that takes the old and combines it with the new, and does a good job of it. If you find yourself playing some of those old shooters, then you should definitely think about picking this one up. For those of you that are unsure about Ikaruga I would recommend renting this one and you never know it might just be what the doctor ordered.
