    Escape from Butcher Bay is still a fantastic little game. With the graphical update, it also looks fantastic. However, Dark Athena isn’t brilliant, having been obviously cobbled together to make it longer with the switch to Atari as publisher. Read more

    • Good graphics, Story is pretty nice, Good amount of violence
    • Dark Athena, Difficulty spikes, Multiplayer

    The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena doesn't know what it's supposed to be. It shifts from being an intense, yet frustrating shooter, to a buggish sneaker. Starbreeze didn't make the most out of this recipe. There's so much wasted potential. Read more

    • Immersive ambience, voiceovers, cool boss fights, altogether challenging, combat can still be fun;
    • Crammed with annoying technical glitches and unbalanced AI, mundane multiplayer, visuals too retro.

    The multiplayer mode is unfortunately, nothing spectacular and it seems Starbreeze still cant get it down as The Darkness’ just as lackluster. I think for what’s it worth, two campaigns and multiplayer on one disc, fans of the Riddick name and series will be pleased. Everyone else, maybe a rent. Read more

    • Voice Acting, close combat fighting, finishers, VIN DIESEL!
    • The multiplayer, graphics, story mode start.

    The Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena is actually two games in one; the very successful Escape from Butcher Bay classic that was on the original Xbox, and Assault on Dark Athena; the new expansion. Both take place in the Riddick timeline before the movie Pitch Black takes place and is a great way to see the back story of the character and plot. Read more

    I have to say, I am extremely surprised and pleased about this game! It's been a whole lot of fun to play, and keeps getting better as I go, besides the fact that you're really getting TWO games here (Escape from Butcher Bay AND Assault on Dark Athena). The first person stealth and shooter aspects are well done, and I personally have found the game play to be fairly addicting. For this price, it is DEFINETLY worth picking this up. Read more

    Assualt on Dark Athena is the second game to come from the riddick universe. After the critically acclaimed Escape from Butcher Bay, fans knew it was only a matter of time before a sequel was made. The game is made up of two campaigns, the new Assault on Dark Athena story and the old Escape from Butcher Bay story. The Escape from Butcher bay Stroy has however beeen given a massive graphics update and some minor touches to make up for previous critisisms. Read more

    Apparently this game started out as a very short expansion and was not intended to be a full game–with the sudden change of scope (from a few hours of gameplay to at least double or triple that, depending on who you read) the focus was summarily destroyed. That said, I still enjoyed it for what it was but, no, it wasn’t a classic like the first. Read more
