Comic Con 2012: Is Battleblock Theater the new Castle Crashers?
20 July 2012
Excerpt: The Behemoth is known for delivering truly classic arcade gameplay to the Xbox Live arcade, their hit game Castle Crashers remaining one of the best for the platform. Now, we're taking a look at a new co-op puzzle platformer called Battleblock Theater, a truly awesome colorful romp, with plenty of very interesting mechanics. Take a look at the game, and let us know in the comments if you think this one could be the next Castle Crashers.
Excerpt: Xbox LIVE arcade games are usually short quirky affairs that focus on one or two features and provide around five hours of entertainment. But then there are games like Castle Crashers that just overflow with content and keep you busy for hours without end.
Excerpt: Ultimate Fighting Championship. A fighting institution that by acronym alone brings to mind the brutal fighting that takes place between two trained fighters, fists and feet flying in quick succession with the one strike being the difference between the victor and the loser. Submissions. Throws. Pinning the opponent to the mat.
Conclusion: The only other problem is that the constant tapping of the buttons may make your hands a little sore if you play for an extended period of time -- but then, that’s true with a lot of games. Nevertheless, Castle Crashers is a really great game, and on top of all its other great qualities, even though its 1200 MSP. It’s really tough to go wrong with this one.
Summary: All in all, Castle Crashers is just fun. You’ll laugh the whole time you play the game as you pound your swords into the heads of the goons or smite them with lightning. There is a ton of content for the low price and better yet, you get to enjoy it all with your friends. The game can present a challenge at times, but nothing you can’t overcome with a few tries.
