If you’re a fan a FPS games and westerns then I suggest you go grab this title as you won’t be disappointed, it’s a lot of fun and well worth it for a couple times through as the different brothers. Call Of Juarez Bound in Blood is what a western games should be like, too bad it’s a bit too short though, but there are hints that things like a DLC will be coming soon. Read more

    • +Intriguing and engaging storyline, +Great graphics, +Wild west fun!
    • Chatty, lengthy cut scenes, Multiplayer is a bit too complicated, Not much replay value in single player mode

Like its predecessor, "Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood" is quite refreshing, considering that it’s an FPS set in the Wild West, but, more importantly, it’s also a great game. The patience-testing showdowns and the currently unpolished online mode are the only true problems, as the game is generally superb fun, whilst the story is superbly written and an engaging driving point. It’s official, the cowboys are cool in this one. Read more

    • Great cowboy action, Cover system works wonderfully well, The story is fantastically told
    • Showdowns can annoy, Online mode is currently unpolished, Coop, why aren’t you here?

I’ll admit, I’m a sucker for co-op and would’ve loved to see it in this game where it possibly could’ve worked so well. What is great about Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood is that you will find many an improvement from the last game, a fulfilling story that sets everything in place from the first game, and a very addictive multiplayer! Bound in Blood was well developed and is definitely now in my top favorite Western games. Read more

    • Amazing Graphics, Great Old-Western Feel, Fun Multiplayer, Great Story
    • No Co-Op where it would've fit so well, Voice Acting is a bit off

The original Call of Juarez released in 2007 and was met with decent reviews and had some decent ideas to make it stand out from the crowded FPS genre (other than being a Western, which isn’t done very often). The follow-up; Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood is now here and has taken the general premise that made the first in the series decent and simply improves on them while trying a few new things. As a Western fan, I'm a little puzzled why it seems so difficult for developers to create outstanding games in this underserved genre. I mean, it seems like a straightforward grab: easily-defined stories, plenty of opportunity for action-oriented gameplay, and a near-total lack of competition. If gamers got a Stetson for every ten (or twenty) space marine helmets, I'd be a happy man. Read more

    • The story and characters ring truly Western.
    • The action never heats up past a mild simmer.

Wild West video games have tended to suck, but there have been a few bright spots over the years. Call of Juarez, while far from a great game, certainly had moments. And I guess those moments were enough to justify a prequel, as Ubisoft has once again tapped Techland for Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood . Read more

When Call of Juarez arrived on the Xbox 360 in 2007 many praised the game for its storyline and slick visuals; however, many also criticized the game for its performance issues and some lacklustre character modelling. Just over two years later a prequel arrives, aptly titled Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, with little to no fanfare or hoopla. Read more

  1. Excellent Campaign, Poor Multiplayer Support

To be upfront, I'm especially partial to the setting, the Old West. I wish more games took advantage of the stories and characters of the genre. This game does do it justice. The settings and characters are enjoyable and the gameplay is very addictive. The only thing lacking is better support for multiplayer, everything about this game is set-up to have an excellent co-op, but for whatever reasons the programmers decided to leave it out. Read more

The game is in fact not bad but it is not as memorable as "Red dead Redemption" By Rockstar which is in the same genre by theme. The coop elements are good but the character abilities are not utilised much in the game. I would prefer the game without the openworld parts squezzed in the middle , the concept used like this ruins the overall game for me.Even the missions offered is not much of a challenge. Anyway it did remind me of the wild west. Read more

After 2006's Call of juarez, 2009s addition is filled with fun shootouts and a great story. Set years before the first game, Bound in Blood follows the McCall brothers--Ray and Thomas--as they change from honorable Confederate deserters to amoral treasure hunters seeking a fabled fortune. Throut this adventure they must fight other cowboys and do certain tasks. The game is a first person shooter mixed with some RPG elements. Read more
