Summary: Call of Duty World at War as been out several years. It was a great game of its time. I found the Campaign to be well done. It was a lot of fun with friends in the multi-player and zombie game types. To my misfortune the game company has turned their back on this game and left it to be attacked by hackers and cheaters. I just felt it was something that should be said here before you might buy it. It is a shame but it should be mentioned upon buying this game.
Fun Campaign and Zombie mode, the rest not so much
3 December 2011
Summary: I enjoyed the single player campaign but multiplayer is another story. The developers basically force you to buy the additional content by making it a hassle to join games. Your constantly booted from matchmaking because you don't have the extra maps. I'm not sure why they didn't go the Halo route and have separate modes for the two. Well I think we all know why.
Summary: COD: WAW was the pile of carbon that was honed into Modern Warfare. It was a decent game that neither captured my attention nor bored me such that I didnt finish. The lack of realism in movement, environment interaction, and visual graphics prevented this game from being good.
Pros: - Decent game plot - Zombie mod: awesome - Online multiplayer is pretty good, especially if youre playing the zombie mod again
Cons: - Graphics are disappointing jagged lines, aliasing is off, etc - Limited map movement - Little interaction with the environment - Player movements dont feel smooth/real
Summary: This game is fun no doubt about it but be sure to keep away from children the violence and language are pretty bad! But for you grown ups well its not black ops but other then the zombie mode its all the same game! I love it would buy again and might for a friend!
Summary: good campaine and i love natzi zombie mode but the multiplayer is annoying beacuse they put the extra maps that you have to purtchace into the same mix as the normal ones wich makes it really hard to get into a game.
The Brock Lesnar of Reviewing - The Most Hated, Amazon
25 August 2010
Summary: after having this game for so long and playing it here and there, I'm finally sitting down to play it on veteran mode. Now I have played it through recruit and even hardened with little to no problem at all, as it should be. But let me tell you, on veteran they pull out all the stops and I mean all of em. For instance no matter how many of your own guys are around you every enemy shoots directly at you!
Summary: You are caked in dirt and sweating like a pig, the smell of both blood and cordite fills you nostrils, screams of agony pierces your ears like the snap and hiss of passing bullets missing you by inches. Your gun runs out of ammo so you cast it aside and pick up one from the opposing solider you just killed, being an vicious Imperial trooper or a hard edge Wehrmacht grunt. Welcome to the gritty battle fields of "Call of Duty: World at War".
Worth picking up regular edition if you can find a deal

Summary: The only thing worth while in the collectors edition is the Double XP which plays as a game type (Officers Club). You can bring a game party with too so everyone can enjoy double xp which helps fill game types, but you will still have issues finding matches on off hours (Nobody bought collectors basically). The double xp only happens when the company feels like putting it up and so far I've seen it twice.
