The Marine Raiders were elite units established by the United States Marine Corps during World War II to conduct amphibious light infantry warfare, particularly in landing in rubber boats and operating behind the lines. Read more
At any rate, you'll find that as a single-player experience, the game is far too short and lacks the compelling ambience of Modern Warfare. However, the multiplayer, more specifically the co-op, is where this game truly shines and from that perspective comes highly recommended from us. Should you decided to give it a try, make sure to dive into the all-new Nazi Zombie mode, which puts you and a group of up to 4 players against hordes of vicious zombies (that's when the... Read more
There really isn’t a whole lot more to say here, Call of Duty World at War, while going back to WW2, still manages to feel new and fresh, keeping it’s head above the crowd in the way over-saturated WW2 shooter market. The game features the same great look and frame rate as Modern Warfare, also featuring the overall same multiplayer options as well, with a few new exceptions, like the attack dogs and tanks. But the biggest new addition here, in my honest opinion,... Read more
You’re 16-years old and your parents have left town for the weekend. Do you: (a) spend the weekend catching up on schoolwork and cleaning the house, (b) lock up the house and stay at a friend’s house for the weekend, or (c) throw a big party and “borrow” Dad’s new Porsche for some impromptu street racing? If you answered (a) or (b), you’re not a very good liar and deserve whatever punishment your parents give you. For the correct answer is, of course, (c).... Read more
While Treyarch's WW2 shooter doesn't quite fill its predecessor's shoes, it's still a great game in its own right. Read more
*This review is based on my the single player campain (that's not a typo ) on the veteran difficulty* After playing Call of Duty: WaW on the veteran difficulty level, the first question that pops in to my mind is," How the f did we win WW 2?" If this game is any indication of history, every Japanese and Nazi soldier had an unlimited supply of grenades, with throwing skills that would make Tom Brady jealous, expert marksmen who had bolt action rifles that reloaded as fast... I played Call of Duty 2 and was given a great WWII game in the same general vein as Medal of Honor---that is, a PG-13/Moderate R type war with an emphasis on glory and America Eff Yeah glory. World at War is far more like a pulp comic take on it, but without the sleaze associated with such genres. Gore is a major factor now, including such heinously realistic things as mounted machine guns severing limbs, blood is up in your face, and stuff gets sickeningly real very... I know that this review is kinda late, but I want my input on this game to be heard. Now we all know how much of a fail Call of Duty 3 was, but we should really forget that and give Treyarch another chance. Almost everyone who has a PS3 or Xbox 360 has played this game, and whether Treyarch did a bad job on Call of Duty 3 or not World at War is still a really good game. It has wonderful visuals, really easy controls, and a load of DLC. We all had our problems as in the... Read more
If you're a fan of the WWII era, this game is for YOU. I love the entire Call of Duty series (including COD 4). . . The solo game is really good, but gameplay on XBox Live takes this to a whole other level. There are soooooo many different game types available for play online. . . and then there's Naz* zombies which takes this game is a whole other direction. Definitely worth picking-up!!! None that I can think of. Read more
Needs to be a split screen multi-player option, Not very fun being the second controller. Player 2 has only a crosshair and has no control over the movement of the screen nor can player 2 pick up ammo with out player 1 going to a downed firearm! Lame Read more
