Summary: I've finished playing through Call of Duty 3, and I must say, it was not my favorite CoD game. It was, in many places, downright annoying. Many of the game mechanics are sloppy and buggy. I would often get physically stuck in odd places and be unable to move for several seconds, teammates would frequently get in the way, and the checkpoint saving system was HORRIBLE.
Summary: I had this game but I took it to GameStop a few years ago. Now I bought it again to add to my Call of Duty collection. I remember when I got my Xbox 360 back in 2006 that this game was smooth playing all the way to the end. Now that I have been playing it again that it seems to be glitchy. You find the troops running into walls or just standing there. Sometimes you'll be looking one way and the next thing you know you did a 180 and you are looking the other way.
Summary: I will say if you like the game play it was good, but the graphics were all the same as the other ones and the store line was the same and it like if you played one you played them all. I got bored after a hour.It was one of those game you need to play with others to have a blast and to be honest there wasn't to mean out there. Most are on the latest and greatest one out.
Summary: My son is 12, wants the real thing. So he would say this is an ok game, since I wont let him have the M rated version. But he seems to like it and says there are more kids his age on Live Xbox playing it then he thought.
Summary: I had wanted these since they were released. I also had two different Turtle Beach Headsets. I found the sound to be quite good. Although adjusting the surround sound on the amp was a little trying and having to reset it everytime the power was disconnected was a pain. Not hearing yourself through the headset on the mic was also a drawback. nice set wasn't worth the original price which is why i gave them a chance when the price dropped considerably.
Summary: I love this series, but this particular one has some flaws that are just inexcusible. 1. the cut scenes - they are MINUTES long and you CAN'T SKIP THEM and there are quite a few of them - unacceptable. 2. when you die in the middle of a campaign, in some cases it takes you all the way back to the beginning - sometimes you've been playing for 10-15 minutes, get killed and you have to re-do all of that just to get back to where you were - the saves should happen more often...
Summary: My 8-year-old son wanted this game above all else for Christmas. (I realize the rating is M for mature and this game was not as gory or graphic as the other Call of Duty games and he's very into the strategy of war more so than the violence.) He opened it on Christmas Day and as of yesterday, 12-29, completed the game. He greatly enjoyed playing, but once the missions are complete, that's it.
Summary: Compared to COD2, COD3 is more scripted, you cannot skip the passive parts which makes it very dull when you restart the game or get shot at the wrong time. I encountered a few problems where I got stuck and I had to restart the level which is really aggravating when you have to listen to the same old speech for the third time. COD2 was more fun, less buggy and more varied (Russia, France, Germany, Egypt, Tunisia...).
