Bully: Scholarship Edition

Rockstar Toronto’s Bully: Scholarship Edition is an action/adventure video game was released for the Nintendo Wii and the Microsoft Xbox 360 on March 2008. The Wii and Xbox 360 port of this original PlayStation 2 video game features a new game engine, new content and an additional multiplayer gameplay option. The PlayStation 2 version used the Renderware engine while the newer ones utilize the Gamebryo engine. The new content, exclusive to the new ports, include more missions, characters, school classes, items and clothing. In Bully: Scholarship Edition, two players—on a single console—can now compete against each other in new minigames. The Xbox 360 version also includes the addition of Achievements.

Gameplay

Bully: Scholarship Edition has a sandbox-style gameplay, allowing the player to roam the game’s environment freely and interact with the over 100 unique non-player characters (NPCs). Gamers play the role of student Jimmy Hopkins—a 15-year old with a delinquent past. Jimmy is enrolled in the fictional boarding school Bullworth Academy. As a new student at the school, the player will have to deal with different groups of students, faculty and town people as he completes the minigames and progresses the story through 6 chapters. These groups include school cliques like the Bullies, Nerds, Preppies, Jocks and Greasers and the Townie Gang.

Bully’s minigames involve the school classes like English, Biology, Geography, Music and Math as well as other mingames that reward the player with skill improvements, new items and money.
