  • Summary: I really would like to give this more, but I have to admit the combat in this game, a mixture of button mashing and tower defense, leaves a lot to be desired. The story is written very smart, humorous and somewhat engrossing. The extra love they give this game in its nostalgic look, sound, and heavy metal references didn't go unnoticed.

  • Summary: It was a creative and funny game, i liked the soundtrack, the metal world, and the awesome performance shop. Graphics were OK too. I didn't like the combat system. It became so boring at the end, and irritating. I played that game for around 5 hours and i stopped because of boredom. I would love this game if it could be different battle system.

My favorite game. It's bloody Awesome!

  • Summary: I've been gaming for 25-ish years, and this is my favorite game! While you may feel that Halo, Zelda, GoW, etc may be better, this is still a solid buy and a real gem in my opinion. The stage battles are a clever mix of being an RTS with single player combat mixed in. The characters are fantastic, the humour is great, and the world / in game music is in A CLASS BY ITSELF! If you even remotely like metal, buy this gem!

  • Summary: I feel genuinely bad giving this review, because this game did make me smile and was quite fun for the first few hours. Jack Black is quite funny, the theme of metal music is a good one for the setting and allows for humorous level design and characters; it really had potential... and then it fell apart.

  • Summary: Fun at first. Humor is good but gameplay isn't as smooth. But get's really really repetitive. A lot off things I don't understand (what in the blue hell is a "mosh pitt"?). The tower defense is not very fun after a long while. But the worst thing: the later levels are very difficult and I was stuck on it for a long time. What kept me going was: the humor off it all and the beautiful Fun at first. Humor is good but gameplay isn't as smooth.

  • Summary: When I first got this game from a bundle, I looked at the metacritic score and it was decent. So I decided to play this since there were cards for it just released. I initially wasn't interested in playing as it was heavily influenced by metal which I'm not fond of. However, as I started playing right from the beginning, I totally liked the gameplay just 10 minutes in.

  • Summary: The game itself is actually a realization of Action games, Exploration or Free Roam games, and Real-Time Strategy. Fans of one or two should have no problem with this game (though some people who dislike RTS will find this game least agreeable as most major plot points revolve around RTS battles.) You drive around the landscape in your upgrade-able car, doing open-world missions and races.
