List All 1 PricesSome people say that too many cooks spoil the broth. Some may also argue that too many gameplay styles may spoil the game! "Brütal Legend" nearly cocks it up by attempting to mash open world, driving, RTS and hack-n-slash elements into one package. Thankfully, tight balancing of unit types, reasonable controls, great art design and the fantastic audio save the project from disaster. Read more
Tim Schafer has done it again, with Jack Black in tow, - now the only question is - will fans of his previous games be as enamored with Brutal Legend? Read more
Overall, Brutal Legend is an exciting journey into Metal lore that encompasses many genres into one beautifully blended and innovative product. The creators of Pyschonauts have got another great hit on their game with few flaws. The story is engrossing, and if nothing else you want to continue playing just to see what happens next, and to hear the next song and how well it blends with what is happening on the screen. Earlier this year it was not clear if Brutal Legend would ever actually make it to the market. Had this happened gamers, would truly have missed a fun, visually unique and pleasing world that every mature player should enjoy, even with its limited short comings. However, other titles from Tim and company have also received similar compliments in the past and still garnered less than stellar sales when they were first released. Read more
From the mind of Tim Schafer (Psychonauts, Grim Fandango) comes Brutal Legend, the ultimate heavy metal action game starring Jack Black . Read more
Brutal Legend is a game that an awful lot of people are going to enjoy, despite its combat failings. It just prevents a great game from being one of the greatest. Read more
It's an unfortunate reality that games are often accused of delivering "style over substance." The basic notion is that developers coat a mediocre game with some sort of stylistic hook that keeps the player interested in spite of themselves, and is nothing new. However, given the big name behind it, one would expect Brütal Legend not to fall into this category. One would be wrong. Read more
Tim Schafer is an ex-Lucasarts game designer and current founder of the Double Fine Productions. He has given us the classics Full Throttle, Psychonauts and Grim Fandango, while he has also worked on other major titles such as the first two Monkey Island games and Day of the Tentacle. His latest inspiration was to combine the world of heavy metal with the world of medieval warfare in an action-adventure title that would have a little bit of everything in small doses. Read more
Developed by Double Fine Productions and published by EA, Brutal Legend arrives on the scene at a time when the market is flooded with games which offer up little in the way of originality or lasting power. Brutal Legend is quite the opposite. Not only does Brutal Legend offer up quite a bit in terms of originality but it's also a blast to play. Read more
Brutal Legend didn't live up to my expectations. While I absolutely loved the immersive world, despite the graphical shortcomings, and the amazing voice work and soundtrack, despite the inclusion of Whitesnake and Skid Row, I was left miffed by the lack of main story content and the uninspired gameplay. I was expecting so much better. The gameplay is terrible, story is weak, and its not that funny. The voice acting is decent. From what I read I was expecting something new and fresh, instead I got a bad game. Read more
I have to say, kudos to the developer for trying something different, and changing up the gameplay to keep things fresh. Some may really enjoy this game, and at 5 bux you really still could not go wrong. Read more

this could easily have been game of the year. great voiceovers and soundtrack. the story is deep and full of surprises. a world has been created that begs to be explored until one hits a "stage battle". this is nothing more than a poorely executed RTS that penalizes one so severly for wrong tactics, you will often find yourself starting over. I enjoy playing this game and have already recommended it to my friends to play. Some of them have already went to overstock to buy it. Read more
Brutal Legend is a very fun game. It's original, I've certainly never played a game like it, and pleasingly silly. The characters are engaging and the universe is interesting, even if the backdrops are somewhat samey when you drive around. I gained a lot of pleasure from the sound track and the heavy metal jokes, but I don't know how well they would work for someone who does not like that style of music. Read more
I thought this game would be shit and downloaded the demo for the hell of it. I couldn't have been more wrong. It loved it. It reminded me strongly of sacrifice also. Read more
Buy It, I URGE YOU TO BUY BRUTAL LEGEND AND BE AMAZED! Read more
Awesome, simply awesome game. It is on the short side but the whole way through it just delivers a great experience. Some will go in expecting a hack and slash - kill everything experience, and whilst it is there, later on it turns into a more interactive strategy game, which I actually really enjoyed. You can also jump in and unleash Face Melters and bring down a burning zeppelin - so you still get to play in the battle! Read more
This game got boring very quickly, and the gameplay etc not that good either C+. Read more
Jack Black stars as Eddie Riggs, a roadie who’s sucked into a mythical Age of Rock to fight evil, liberate an army of headbangers from a life of oppression, find love, and discover his life’s purpose. Heavy stuff until one realizes the universe of Brütal Legend has sprung from the mind of legendary game director Tim Schafer. Brütal Legend marries visceral action combat with open-world freedom, set in a universe somewhere between Lord of the Rings and Spinal Tap. It’s …

I am trying to start the battle for bladehenge. After I activate the geyser and build the first merch booth, I enter the solo menu which still displays the duece, facemelter, etc. But I can not access the solos that call the headbangers, razorgirls, etc. I've looked online and found that this is what I need access to, but regardless how many times I restart the scene I can never access the solo's that I need. I even tried restarting the game over thinking that it was a glitch, but not even that worked. Can anybody give me any advice?
