  • Summary: Some videogames contain certain "moments". Moments which are forever memorable because they proffer a gameplay mechanic which thinks outside the box and challenges the very preconceived design ideas that developers themselves, let alone gamers, take for granted as gospel. Think the moment when the visuals start pulsing in time with the beat and the rumble of the joypad the first time you Some videogames contain certain "moments".

  • Summary: So apparently if you're a normal human being, you'll rate this game 10/10. I can't for the life of me figure out why. The puzzles are alright, but the story is pretentious and uninteresting.

  • Summary: Braid is a masterpiece with ingenious gameplay mechanics and puzzles. If you are looking for a game that will challenge your mind, then look no further. This is one of the most brutal thinking games ever made. Thankfully, the rest of the game is top notch as well. Every part of the game fits together wonderfully to create an amazingly poetic experience. The controls are precise and Braid is a masterpiece with ingenious gameplay mechanics and puzzles.

  • Summary: ‘Such an anti-climax.’ I purchased this game having gotten somewhat tired of the same old games I have been playing of late. Looking forward to a game that has achieved such formidable critical acclaim and what can only be described as one of the greatest, most innovative indie games to have surfaced in recent years. All I can say is what a huge disappointment this was and I would quite ‘Such an anti-climax.

  • Summary: Puzzles on a vertical difficulty slope and gimmicks that are not explained nor fleshed out in any detail make this game a pile of over-hyped, over-priced, over-flogged nonsense.

  • Summary: Braid is a good game but it's not the greatest game. Yes, the concept is innovative and yes, graphics are cute but that's all. GOAT game? Nah. Poetry? Nah. More like "Your Average Indie Platform Game".

  • Summary: If I could only play one genre of videogame, it'd be 2D puzzle-based platformers. And if I could only play just one more game, it'd almost certainly be Braid. Art style, gameplay, content, difficulty etc, Braid just gets everything right and I utterly adore it! I often recommend Braid to my fellow gamers, and I reckon that I've probably got them a good couple of dozen downloads over If I could only play one genre of videogame, it'd be 2D puzzle-based platformers.

  • Summary: A 2D platformer that makes clever use of time control mechanics, such as rewinding and speeding up time, to create some well thought out puzzles. The subtle hints as to what is actually going on in terms of plot will also intrigue most players enough to have them looking on forums for other peoples thoughts.

  • Summary: This game has a beautiful atmosphere and story. It really does. Unfortunately, I simply did not enjoy working my way through the various puzzles. I just found them to be so unbelievably tedious, and only managed to put about 2 hours into this before deciding to move on to games that I actually like playing.
