  • Summary: Braid is a masterpiece with ingenious gameplay mechanics and puzzles. If you are looking for a game that will challenge your mind, then look no further. This is one of the most brutal thinking games ever made. Thankfully, the rest of the game is top notch as well. Every part of the game fits together wonderfully to create an amazingly poetic experience. The controls are precise and intentional..

  • Summary: Puzzles on a vertical difficulty slope and gimmicks that are not explained nor fleshed out in any detail make this game a pile of over-hyped, over-priced, over-flogged nonsense.

  • Summary: If I could only play one genre of videogame, it'd be 2D puzzle-based platformers. And if I could only play just one more game, it'd almost certainly be Braid. Art style, gameplay, content, difficulty etc, Braid just gets everything right and I utterly adore it! I often recommend Braid to my fellow gamers, and I reckon that I've probably got them a good couple of dozen downloads over the past year or two.

  • Summary: A 2D platformer that makes clever use of time control mechanics, such as rewinding and speeding up time, to create some well thought out puzzles. The subtle hints as to what is actually going on in terms of plot will also intrigue most players enough to have them looking on forums for other peoples thoughts.

  • Summary: This game is perfect. An interesting story, nice controls, time puzzles that are well done and a great set of secret stars to find. @RussellL Oh, you wanted to be Soap Mactavish and teabag very noob in an online mode. Delete your Metacritic account(if possible) and go back to join your retarded friends in COD, I'll go play Braid.

  • Summary: Extremely hard and obtuse puzzles from a very early stage. Well designed game but just oversteps the fine line between challenging and irrirating for me.

  • Summary: One of the most unusual, enjoyable, original games I've ever played. Wonderful. I would have liked it to be longer but whats there is flawless. Can be quite challenging at times but as the in game hints say - avoid looking up cheats/walkthroughs as it's so much more fulfilling when you have that "AHA!" moment.

A memorable puzzle game

  • Summary: The Good: Beautiful art direction, interesting story, out of this world time traveling mechanic, each world has a different ways to solve puzzles The Bad: Some puzzles may be a bit confusing, very short, the story isn't exactly clear Braid is one of those WTF games where you think you know what's going to happen then it turns around and slaps you in the face. The story of Braid is very interesting, but it doesn't really matter until the last level.

  • Summary: Braid is the smartest and most engaging game I have ever played ... and I have played them all. The game is beautiful. The music is amazing and soothing. The puzzles are smart but never too hard and very rewarding. The story requires alot of thought and gives alot of interpretations. Shortly: one of the best games ever made.

  • Summary: A great game, with good platforming, a great musical score, and one of the most thought-provoking stories out there. This is a great way to pass the time, and it is well worth the price tag. The five hours you spend playing this is worth it.
