Excerpt: It’s amazing how much stir amongst the videogame community a little downloadable arcade title can cause. Much has been made of Braid ’s inner workings and what everything means way beyond the surface. Perhaps it’s a sorrowful commentary on the death of the 2D platformer; perhaps it’s about love and how one man’s obsession with his ‘Princess’ could drive him further away from her.
Excerpt: We've never played a game like this before. Braid looks like just another platformer, albeit an extremely well presented one that could well make "games are art" lovers fall to their knees and cry tears of joy, but it's nothing like you expect. Although a platformer in the most traditional sense, jumping plays second fiddle to the power of time.
Conclusion: The sprites are basically the same as the previous games, but they definitely have an added level of crispness. The music, as always, is catchy and matches the flow of a rebuttal perfectly. Repeated playthroughs benefit if you don't replay it right away, as it loses most of the challenge if you know the answers going in. In summation, Ace Attorney Investigations gives one of the Ace Attorney series' most beloved characters a game that is quite worthy of his stature.
Conclusion: With 5 areas, each with 12 puzzles of increasing difficulty, many of which will require that the small gray really be put on overtime, a different and fascinating history, picturesque and really nice graphics, nice catchy music and a gameplay of a quality which not often, do we now second weeks in a row is enriched with a true classic. Braid is candidate for Game of the Year 2008!
Brilliant time-shifting platform game about love lost.

Summary: Parents need to know that Braid is filled with complex moral messages and that its puzzles can be extremely difficult. Though there is little that might be deemed overtly offensive (no drugs, sex, or violence, and just one occurrence of the word "bitch"), the game's sophisticated themes have to do with relationships and love, and will likely be lost on those who haven't experienced serious romantic relationships.
Excerpt: After a bit of a lull, 360 owners are being spoiled rotten with a string of excellent exclusive titles. It’s safe to say, without any form of exaggeration, that Braid is the best Xbox Live Arcade game released thus far, for many reasons. From the moment you fire the game up, you can tell this will be something special. There is no title screen, no tutorial and no back story.
