Nice to see a story in a football game but sometimes it breaks the game because you have to win games. The press conference and create-a-team options are deep and impressive. The actual football game is barebones, as evident by the miniscule amount of plays. Injury movies disrupt game. The unresponsive controls when entering text and picking plays are horrible. Read more

Blitz The League II is a great release from Midway on so many levels, as it stays true to that classic arcade football formula and amplifies it many times over. If you are a fan of over-the-top arcade sports games you really can’t go wrong here, it is a blast to play. Read more

Midway's Blitz: The League II is the latest in the Blitz series, which dates back nearly 10 years. Blitz: The League II features the same over the top gameplay and 30 yard first downs from previous games. Blitz: The League II's campaign mode features a lengthy pre-scripted career mode, which spans multiple seasons in a fictitious football league. You choose your division 3 home team, the name of your character, as well as offense and defense positions. You then work your... Read more

If you like Blitz, it still delivers on the bone crunches we expect, but all the visuals and poor gameplay really hinder the final result. If you like the first, give this a rent, but don’t buy it unless it hits the TGR Bargain Bin. Read more

  5. Review: Blitz: The League II (360)

    31 October 2008

If you are a football purist, then this isn’t the game for you. However if you are a fan of easy to play, over the top, brutal action, then there’s a lot to love about Blitz: The League II . In many ways Blitz: The League II is an appropriate game to come from Midway, since it’s like if you mixed football with Mortal Kombat: you’ve got special moves, button combo mini-games and insane injuries. If you are looking for an alternative to Madden , well Blitz is... Read more

Fun: Iight story but is not the type of game you would want to play over and over. And it is also very hard at times I almost broke my controller a couple times lol. It's not for everyone so my advice would be rent before you buy because I personally would have saved my money on this one. Read more
