Blazing Angels 2: Secret Missions of WWII Review

IGN Entertainment
9 February 2008
  • Conclusion: If you decide to bring the battle online, your normally-A.I. squad mates will become visceral. Interesting cat-and-mouse gameplay types in co-op, solo and squadron (team multiplayer) modes make for an interesting mixture of attack plans. FPS-style games like capture-the-flag and a form of President will make shooter fans feel right at home here, while the co-op Kamikaze mode and Assault will bring out the WWII flying ace in most gamers.

Blazing Angels 2: Secret Missions of WWII

Game Over Online
23 October 2007
  • Excerpt: If there’s one tried and true formula in game design it’s the simple fact that shooting Nazis just never seems to get old. Perhaps it stems from the great joy that can be gained repeatedly thwarting a genocidal manic with plans for global domination, but by now the large majority of us have in some way helped blow the heck out of the German war machine from Normandy to Stalingrad without leaving the comfort of our own homes.

Blazing Angels II: Secret Missions of WWII

XboxZone
13 December 2007
  • Conclusion: BA2 has clearly fixed all issues that hindered the original and thankfully focused on its strengths. If you enjoyed the original, you’ll love this installation. If you never played the original and are hungry for a solid, arcade flight shooter, it’s well worth a look. Missions are beautifully diverse, dog fights are decent and levels are often majestic. Live unfortunately lacks a playable local population but the single player campaign certainly compensates.

Really Big Sky

GamingMedia.de
12 November 2011
