The best part of the game is that when you are killed, you don’t have to start all over again, instead you are transferred into the last known regeneration chamber you passed, keeping all the items you have, and enemies also retain the same attributes they had when you were killed. Thus you can continue from where you left off, but you are just thrown in another location. You can lure enemies into traps that you either set yourself or manipulate. You can use plasmids to set foes on fire, causing them to run into a pool of water to extinguish the flames, and then electrify the pool. You can catch projectiles with telekinesis and throw them back, or you can hack turrets and lead enemy their way. You can even get a Big Daddy to protect you and obliterate any enemy that threatens you. As you progress you unlock a wide assortment of Plasmids. The music enhances the setting and period of the game, visuals are very detailed. Most reviewers find this game to be authentic and players will find themselves fully immersed in this experience and will want to play again and again.

If you're the kind of player who just wants yet another action-packed shooter, BioShock probably isn't for you. Its weak link is its unsatisfying no-skill-required combat, which might aim this one just over the head of the average Halo fan. But if you want to get a little fancy, there's a lot of fun to be had with some of the game's more indirect fighting methods. It builds an amazing atmosphere by using terrific graphics and sound to set a creepy mood. But BioShock's... Read more
Time to get into your bathysphere and take a journey down to the underwater dystopian nightmare known as Rapture in . I'm going to keep this simple... when I completed this game I immediately started again, taking a different tack at it. In total I have completed this game five times and I still have it. (I normally sell my games after I complete them.) Read more

Effectively lacing a game with emotional and moral connection is a hard task. Bells and whistles of explosions and musical score often miss the mark so it is with supreme credit that BioShock will eat into your subconscious for months to come. This is an outstanding game from watery plane crash to utopia–gone–wrong revelation. Descending from your near fatal accident into uncharted waters in a rusty Bathosphere, you have no idea of the horror you‘re about to step... Read more
