Typical Olympic Game.

  • Summary: Being an avid olympic fan, I love anything that has to do with the olympics so this was an easy purchase for $10. This is a typical olympic game where the faster you tap the buttons, the faster you go. The only advantage this time is that the graphics are really good.

All events, good graphics, So-So game play

  • Summary: Summer Olypics in China. Well, I was impressed that all sporting events were covered in the game and it had the ability to play two players locally or over Xbox network. The graphics are quite good, (water was realistic, and body movement was fairly good on most events) The sound was ok, but did not have any option to change music. Many of the actual events can take quite a bit of practice and luck to figure out even after watching it demo'd.

a social game

  • Excerpt: The good thing about this game is that the age is over 3's so it is one that all the family can play. The game is by sega and costs £11.77 new on amazon, I think this is a bit much as the game gets dull quickly but if you can pick it up used for £5 or less it's worth adding to the collection. There are 10 sports you can play, with 38 events. These include running, swimming, cycling and javelin.

The good and bad of Beijing 2008

10 January 2010
  • Excerpt: This game was released by Sega for the Summer Olympics which was held in Beijing. The game has good gameplay, and good graphics. The game is quite enjoyable and you are able to play it for a little while. The only downfall of this release is the fact that it will hurt you and your controller. After playing the game for 10 minutes, I had removed skin off from my hand and broke the analog stick from my controller. So beware, the game is fun but there are downsides.
  • Pros: Good multi - player game, Good graphics and gameplay
  • Cons: Broken controllers, Cuts in Hand, and the design of some game modes .

No gold medal for Beijing 2008

  • Excerpt: Satisfactory sporting games are often hard to come by, especially for those of us wanting to experience a variety of events. Luckily, Beijing 2008 just made the cut. For the first time ever, Olympics fans have gained the chance to try their hand at running, swimming, shooting, jumping and much more from the comfort of their own homes. Sounds like a dream, and the game really did have some great features, but there were also some huge disappointments. .Graphics.
  • Pros: Good online multiplayer, excellent graphics
  • Cons: Controls, no story line

A great game to revisit briefly but often

  • Excerpt: I was given this game as part of an XBOX 360 bundle for my birthday from my partner who wanted me to get involved with some of the games he played. Previously, I had played a similar Olympics game on the Nintendo Wii and I enjoyed the concept of many playable events with different movements to succeed. However, I never expected that movement would be so vital with a little Xbox 360 controller! At first, the game seemed complex and professional.
