Features

A new feature on this one is the new campaign told from the Japanese side. This means that players can get to be the ones in the game attacking Pearl Harbour as well as controlling the Japanese navy. Apparently, the developers have left no stone unturned. They hired ex-history teachers who act as the game designers on the team so that whatever happens after the Japanese win will be based on their actual plans for the war found in historical documents. Another feature that will get fans excited would be the inclusion of ground troops into the mix. This means that players will have their own troops to command. Any further information regarding this has not declared yet. Eidos Hungary is adding in certain contents such as twenty-one new units which include the rocket powered kamikazes also known as the Ohka and early jet aircraft. Word on the street is that, all these are the demands of the fans. The American and Japanese campaigns have twenty-eight new missions. Five new multiplayer modes with scalable maps are included that players can customize for the number of people and units that they want to control. Also features fighters, bombers, carriers, battleships, cruisers, destroyers, subs, mini subs and more. 17 US planes including the new Corsair fighters and Curtis Helldivers, and 20 Japanese planes including the Mitsubishi J2M Raiden (Thunderbolt), and the night-fighting Nakajima J1N1 Gekko. There are huge multi-unit battles for up to eight players (four on each side) on Xbox Live. The largest battle involves over 100 units. And five all-new online gameplay modes: Island capture, Duel, Siege, Escort, and Competitive.
