See moreBattlefield: Bad Company is a first person shooter (FPS)/action game developed by EA Digital Illusions CE and released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
Part of the Battlefield game franchise, Bad Company adds some new features including the Frostbite engine, dynamic lighting and a single player storyline. The new game engine gives the game fully destructible environments.
The game is set in a fictitious war between the US and the Russian Federation. Players take command of a 4-man squad of soldiers that have gone AWOL. These soldiers can be of the Assault, Demolition, Recon, Specialist, or Support class. There are also numerous vehicles that the player will encounter and can control during the game. These vehicles include tanks, armored cars, patrol boats and helicopters. Unlike the rest of the series, however, Bad Company does not include fixed wing aircraft.
Bad Company’s single player campaign takes the player through 7 different missions. Although not vital to these missions, the player can look for and collect gold bars and unique weapons. With a multiplayer mode, the player can play with up to 23 others in games like Gold Rush and Conquest.
The game has 25 ranks that the player can achieve the more he plays. Ranks are based on the US Army’s, with the highest being the General of the Army. With each rank up, the player may get credits with which he can unlock additional weapons.
In online play, Bad Company features three kinds of awards: trophies, patches and wildcards. Trophies, which the players can get multiple times during a game, are awarded for multiple kills in a specific class and other achievements. Patches are awarded only once and are given when players obtain specific trophies and accomplishing other requirements. Lastly, Wildcards are the most difficult award to get and are obtained by achieving many different combinations of criteria.
See lessI guess, ultimately, EA and DICE decided to emphasize the fun factor as opposed to the aspect of tactics, enemy intelligence and realistic combat. Which is fine in our book. You can have a jolly good time with BF: Bad Company just by demolishing half the environment. Still, certain design flaws and gameplay weaknesses might ward off tactical shooter aficionados and anyone who expects tougher enemies. This doesn't mean you should dismiss the single-player completely. It's... Read more
EA Dice has always delivered with their battlefield games and this is no exception, Bad Company is great. With a good storyline with entertaining and almost memorable characters then a fun 24-player online multiplayer mode, any fan would be pleased to add this game to their collection. The campaign can be dragged down a bit by little to slow A.I. but it’s all made up for in the multiplayer. Battlefield Bad Company is a good game and it shows. Read more
The first Battlefield games, as developed by DICE, were pretty much multiplayer affairs, very well suited for matches which employed well rehearsed team tactics. After Battlefield 2142 was launched, DICE quietly began working on Battlefield: Bad Company, only giving away the fact that their next project was likely t... Read more
Battlefield: Bad Company is by no means perfect. Having said that, it is still one of the most enjoyable and entertaining shooters of the year. The single player is a short but enjoyable campaign with fairly likable characters, and the online mode is incredibly addictive. This sandbox shooter is a bit of harmless, destructive fun, and is certainly worth your money. If you aren’t prepared to shell out the full price for this game, it makes for one hell of a good rental. Read more

This game has everything! From destroyable cover to enormous explosions. The gunshots even echo inside of houses. But thats not the best part there are tanks, jeeps, helicopters, airstrikes and much more that are under your control. Read more
This is a very entertaining game, and the abundance of different weapons available to you in single player mode make it really interesting. Your squad mates are very funny, although not much use in taking out the bad guys. Read more
There is very little drama to Bad Company. It is not that type of game. The graphics, however, are quite good, and it's a lot of fun running around blowing up everything in sight. As a parent I like that there is no blood and gore, although it might make war seem a little too fun. You never have to worry about hurting civilians, your companions can't get killed because it would change the story line, and you can die and re-spawn over and over again. The only penalty to... Pros: * Blowing stuff up has rarely been this fun * Great collection of gadgets and vehicles * Massive 24-player maps * Finally a fleshed-out single-player game * Excellent balance in player classes, vehicle strength, and map layouts. * There are large arrays of vehicles, gas tanks, and buildings to satisfy your destructive needs. Cons: * Conquest mode not available at launch * Graphics and textures appear grainy. The sound is so amazing that if you don't have surround... Read more
No, this isn't the same Bad Company that put out such hits as "Feel Like Makin' Love," "Shooting Star," and...well, that's pretty much all worth mentioning. Just to put it out there. Anyway. To say Battlefield: Bad Company isn't the greatest shooter of all time is a bit unfair. After all, if you come into this expecting it to be, you're not being very fair to any game entitled Halo or Call of Duty. So don't plan on this going down as the best there ever was. Instead, Bad...
