Battlefield 3: End Game

Thunderbolt Games

  • Excerpt: End Game could not be more aptly named. Over the course of the last 15 months, developers DICE have released a steady stream of expansions for their seminal first person shooter, running the gauntlet from tight arena sized combat in Close Quarters to the all out vehicle warfare the series is most renowned for in Armoured Kill .

Battlefield 3

Gaming Evolution
12 April 2012
  • Conclusion: Modern day conflicts are raging both in the real world and on our consoles. We have come a long way with graphics and sound design that the immersion in these games is getting more intense and advanced. The conflicts that are portrayed in Battlefield 3 look pretty close to the ones that are taking place this very minute on the other side of the world with the same kind of soldiers going through nightmarish scenarios and experiencing the horrors of war as you do in the...

  • Conclusion: This is a must own title. Though you can be distracted with all the great titles out there now its just to figure out how to invest your money. Plain and simple invest in this game. Even if your picking it up late your not to far behind in the multi player curve. This game alone could keep you busy for months.

Battlefield 3: Back to Karkand

oxmonline.com
16 December 2011
  • Excerpt: Battlefield 3 may be the red-hotness in modern online multiplayer, but even hardened soldiers can get wistful for the war-torn streets of years gone by. Back to Karkand 's main attraction is the sparkling shine it puts on four killer maps yanked from Battlefield 2 . The first thing you'll notice in this downloadable map pack, provided you don't immediately get the top of your head shot off, is the enhanced level of destructibility enabled by the upgrade to Battlefield 3...
  • Pros: + Four outstanding maps stuffed full of ambush possibilities and (mostly) destructible architecture., + Killer hovering jets and dune buggies; 10 familiar weapons for committed troops to unlock.
  • Cons: ? How many people will think of

Review: Battlefield 3 (Microsoft Xbox 360)

Diehard GameFAN
28 November 2011
  • Summary: Battlefield 3 is something of a mixed bag. On the one hand, you have a single player campaign that while tolerable, is not nearly as entertaining or well written as the Bad Company games or even some of the Call of Duty titles. The co-op mode does little to help with that, lending only six missions that can only be played by two players and are overall not very fun and overly lengthy.

Battlefield 3

The Gamers Temple
22 November 2011
  • Excerpt: This isn't going to be a Battlefield 3 versus Modern Warfare 3 comparison kind of review. Everything from game's marketing blitz to the addition of new modes and features not present in prior games in the series shows that EA is heavily focused on positioning Battlefield 3 as a head-to-head competitor with the Call of Duty franchise's latest game, but I'm not as concerned with whether or not they succeeded in making a Call of Duty killer as I am about whether they made a...

Gritty, violent military shooter for adults only.

Common Sense Media
20 November 2011
  • Summary: Parents need to know that Battlefield 3 is a gritty and authentic first person shooter that glamorizes all forms of military violence, from melee combat and firefights to large-scale destruction with tanks and jets. Characters writhe realistically as they die, and blood sprays from bullet impacts.
