Summary: I absolutely loved this one. It's a simplistic return to old school fighters. Considering this came from the creators of the guilty gear franchise. I was expecting it to be a fast paced, thumb blistering affair that requires cat like reflexes to get through the game.
Summary: I loved Battle Fantasia. I'm an old school fighting game fan and I've been playing since the first arcade iteration of SFII. I'm a huge fan of unique characters and artwork and this game has them in spades. Not to mention pretty complex gameplay mechanics if you take the time to get into it.
Summary: Amazing this title, is funny, atractive, addictive, the graphics are great, the story is very interesting, the characters are ingenious, and the rest of the game is fabulous, I love Battle Fantasia.
Summary: This game is fun, and basically anyone who's looking for a fighting game a bit off the beaten path would have a blast.
Pros: Fun combat system, charming (and bizarre) art style, crazy characters, and a fantastic price.
Cons: A tricky final boss (but satisfying to beat once you know the trick), somewhat limited move sets, and an anemic online community. Also, the instruction manual had misprinted move-sets, so you can't actually tell what the moves are outside of the game menus.
Summary: You know what's best? Is that it feels like an old Neo-Geo game, and that's a good thing! Arc System Works is not trying to make Blazblue or Guilty Gear here, they already have their audience for that. This is a whole different animal and one that hearkens back to the heyday of fighting.
