all about the cart(car or whatever) and not much of a good story line so far

kaila, Amazon
22 March 2015
  • Summary: This is not banjo kazooie as i remember it. Its bulky, all about the cart(car or whatever) and not much of a good story line so far. And i still have no clue what to do next in the game. It kinda leaves you saying what were the developers thinking.

User Review

kawrght, Metacritic

  • Summary: positives:town can be fun to navigate, designing your own vehicles is lots of fun, negatives: worlds are barren of EVERYTHING. seriously theres nothing in them. what your supposed to do isn't made immediately clear, the worlds look horrible and fake, the 'game master' is annoying, the characters are...

My heart is broken

Duffman3468, Amazon
2 February 2013
  • Summary: This games doesn't deserve to have "Banjo Kazooie" in title. Better off calling it "Microsofts Garage Simulator". Rareware has gone to s*** since it was bought by the company named after Bill Gates' d*ck.

Unfairly changed!

Tiger100M, Amazon
17 November 2012
  • Summary: Rareware is dead to me! I hate this video game a lot! It's Jak 2 all over again! They change the theme, make it too much and too boring to do, and instead of questing throughout a land, we're stuck in a crappy city! None of the worlds are that interesting! ANd what does Banjo need to do?

Don't Waste Your Money

John, Amazon
30 August 2011
  • Summary: There is a good reason why this game costs now only $11 dollars while other decent Xbox360 titles usually cost over $40. Heck, even old Playstation2 games cost more at around $19.99. This particular game is highly flawed and boring. The only thing it will be able to impress you with is the graphics.

How to ruin a good game franchise

Pixelspeech, MobyGames
11 July 2011
  • Conclusion: This is a horrible, horrible game and it's even worse because it's the latest game in one of my all-time favorite franchises. Aside from the franchise it's part of and a pretty nice "build your own car" feature there is just nothing remotely decent about this game, it's one of the worst I have ever...
  • Pros: I admit that I am glad that this franchise isn't as dead as I thought it would be, Banjo-Kazooie was part of my childhood and is right up there with Super Mario and Legend of Zelda, that is part of the reason why I have delayed this review for months. I can sense that the true game in in there st...

Terrible game

Brum Andy, amazon.co.uk
16 February 2013
  • Summary: In my view this is a terrible game. Why change the format so radically. Appreciate some people say it gets better if you "give it time" but it shouldn't need to be given time. Banjo games should be instantly enjoyable. Hope they bring out "gruntys revenge" on xbla or a new game in the old format.

What have they done to Banjo-Kazooie

R. Patel "Bush4ever", amazon.co.uk
20 November 2008
  • Summary: Firstly, the original banjo-kazooie games were great, excellent platformers and probably up there with Mario and Sonic. Anyway, I started playing this and I stopped after 1 hr, it was just not my cup of tea. If I wanted to build a bloody car I'd buy lego or stickle-bricks.
