Summary: This games doesn't deserve to have "Banjo Kazooie" in title. Better off calling it "Microsofts Garage Simulator". Rareware has gone to s*** since it was bought by the company named after Bill Gates' d*ck.
Summary: Rareware is dead to me! I hate this video game a lot! It's Jak 2 all over again! They change the theme, make it too much and too boring to do, and instead of questing throughout a land, we're stuck in a crappy city! None of the worlds are that interesting! ANd what does Banjo need to do? He has to race! No No No! That is not the theme of the Banjo-Kazooie franchise! What did Banjo- Kazooie or Tooie even have to do with building or driving vehicles? It didn't!
Summary: There is a good reason why this game costs now only $11 dollars while other decent Xbox360 titles usually cost over $40. Heck, even old Playstation2 games cost more at around $19.99. This particular game is highly flawed and boring. The only thing it will be able to impress you with is the graphics. They are not too shabby but graphics cannot save a game from an incredibly boring plot that is untrue to the Banjo-Kazooie franchise.
Conclusion: This is a horrible, horrible game and it's even worse because it's the latest game in one of my all-time favorite franchises. Aside from the franchise it's part of and a pretty nice "build your own car" feature there is just nothing remotely decent about this game, it's one of the worst I have ever played in fact.
Pros: I admit that I am glad that this franchise isn't as dead as I thought it would be, Banjo-Kazooie was part of my childhood and is right up there with Super Mario and Legend of Zelda, that is part of the reason why I have delayed this review for months. I can sense that the true game in in there still, the dialogue and humor are still around and the graphics look great, I just wish there was a lot more of the original game in here.
Cons: Oh dear... let's go through these one at a time:
Summary: Yesterday I got this game thinking it would be fun because it was a new Banjo game and because I'm a fan of Banjo-Kazooie on the Nintendo 64. So I got home turned it on and started to play it at first I thought it would be fun, then it started to get boring because every single mission required a vehicle unlike Banjo-Kazooie where the missions were on foot. Another that got annoying was the cart in the beginning it was very slow.
Summary: If your a fan of the original Banjo Kazooie games, don't make the choice of buying this video game! I bought this game for my dad and I, plus we loved the original Banjo Kazooie games. The thought of having to beat Grunty again, but this time with inventions. Man, that would be EPIC! But once we played the first 2 acts of the first world, we were TOTALLY BORED! We turned the game back in the day after the day we bought it. My dad and I were really dissapointed.
Summary: I saw this coming out after at least 10 or so years. Needless to say I was so excited! Then I found out that they forgot all of their moves and they then had to ride around in vehicles. Ok... not exactly what I had in mind for a Banjo-Kazooie game. Then it finally came out. I went into EB to get it and I took it home and popped that little sucker into my Xbox 360. I have two words. COMPLETE DISAPPOINTMENT!
Summary: In my view this is a terrible game. Why change the format so radically. Appreciate some people say it gets better if you "give it time" but it shouldn't need to be given time. Banjo games should be instantly enjoyable. Hope they bring out "gruntys revenge" on xbla or a new game in the old format.
Summary: i have spent around 10 minutes trying to put into words how much i despise this game but i can't. this game for me signalled the death of Rare, i dont understand why they did this. if this game was fun then i wouldn't midn but its not!
