  • Conclusion: If you’re looking for a trip down memory lane or itching to relive the glory days of arcades, then this collection is a great place to begin. The collection is easily accessible and fun and simple. At a dollar per game it’s a great bargain for gamers new and old. For a dollar per game you can’t go wrong when it’s packaged ideally in one place and easily accessible.
  • Pros: You have a variety of games to choose from off the bat and you can pick what you want from the get go. I started with Joust and felt nostalgia flow through me right away. The games in general are some of the more popular titles that were around in arcades years ago. You have variety to choose from.   • Cons: While there is some occasional slowdown it doesn’t affect game play but can be noticeable. As a collection of classics it’s a niche title, so unless you have some spare time to have déjà vu it can be good for short game play sessions; which can be good if you played this way when these games were in cabinets.   • Conclusion: There have been a lot of "must-have" games this year, but for anyone serious about gaming history this might be the only bona fide essential purchase of 2012. The score is largely subjective. How much do you punish 30-year-old games for being dated? Would it really have been practical to include a trackball just so we could play Marble Madness properly? In the YouTube age, how important is it to include the grainy videos from earlier releases?
