Summary: This is the first of it's kind of game that I've played on the Xbox 360, being a flight simulator of some kind. It is a Helicopter fighter simulator, so obviously you'll be flying around gunning down ground infantry, boats, and of course other helicopters. The only thing I've played similar to this, is flying Helicopters in Battlefield 3 and the Google Earth Flight Simulator. This game was a definite switch of style for me.
Summary: The game performs as advertised. The learning curve isn't punishing and the controls are easy to master. All in all, I would say you can expect to find at LEAST 10-15 hours of solid entertainment in this game.
Summary: graphics:7 /game play:7 /story:N/A /music:8 ---good---- positives:one of a kind on xbox-good graphics for the Apache- negatives:very hard to control with the analog sticks- no story-no details on enemies vehicles-does not understand how to use your arsenal because of the bad tutorial-no checkpoints ??? in the mission-a lot of pain in the ass missions-no specific strategy to win ..
Summary: I did like the realism of the flight simulation, maps and graphics of this game. I do think it was lacking in most other aspects of a military air ground task force. I think the 100+ targets on each mission is about as unrealistic as it gets. There was many missing aspects of this game like the air superiority factor that combat fighter jets would have enforced, and ground targets amassed in such a jumble that the AC-130 spectre/ puff would have been used.
Summary: Well, this is not exactly the definitive Helicopter simulator, but it is a really great game. The flight model its descent and the music makes you feel like in a movie. As I've said before, it's not a proper simulation, but was made to attract a larger simulation fans crowd (as me). I like flight sims, but don't have the time to learn how to fly, neither the money to buy expensive hardware like any extreme HOTAS joystick and TrackIR.
Summary: Apache: Air Assault is a new flight/combat game of Activision. The story of the game is funny, have some mistakes in the development, but is interesting. The graphics are really cool, and amazing. The gameplay is great. The controls are really good. Apache: Air Assault is a greash game.
Summary: The Goods: 1.Once unlocked, the realistic controls provide excellent approximation (I chose that word carefully) of helo controls. 2. The local co-op is fun, even if the gun cross is hard to see at times. on line multiplayer with a friend is fun. 3. Single player is fun and challenging. The Bads: 1. Learning curve is steep, especially if you have never flown a helicopter and don't understand the physics.
Summary: This game is awesome. A really great game such as this one isn't necessarily easy to master. Every mission that you attempt, as you progress through the many missions to defeat the enemy, helps to sharpen your skills and make you ready for the next mission. When you get frustrated the best thing to do is to work on your shooting accuracy. The game play is awesome.
"Awesome for PC simmers looking for a good console sim."

Pros: Controllability of helicopter is very good considering that this is not a PC platform. The weapons systems aren't complicated but not simple. It allows for user customization on how to engage a target.
Cons: The mission objectives are not extremely clear. I would not call gameplay mundane but it does become repetitive over time.
Summary: if you like flying then you'll love this game. I have to admit that I have NOT play'd the actual game, just the Demo version on the Xbox 360. The give you 2 missions and even on "Easy" they are not easy. In one you have to fly to a small city, avoid being shot down by RPG's and anti-aircraft. In the city after knocking out the ground forces in specific spots you must protect your ground troops from fire of all kinds and Dude it's a >>>> Storm down there.
