Summary: If you're a hardcore fan of either Aliens or Predator or both, you may find some entertainment value in this game. There are three small stories that you can play through - as a colonial marine, an alien or a predator. I found the marine play through to be the most entertaining - and it was only mildly entertaining. The other two were ok, but nothing spectacular. However, playing as the alien can give a person vertigo with the ability to walk on walls and such.
Nothing much new offered in this 2nd AvP title from Rebellion

Summary: I am not very pleased with this game mainly for one that there was not much offered in the co-op aspect and two the multiplayer matchmaking absolutely blows. The single player is okay, sort of like playing the previous PC AVP titles with updated graphics, but nothing new to be offered. For a game involving a Colonial Marine, you'd think there be plenty of play involving squadmates, but its the same ol' youre the only guy left.
Summary: The Aliens vs. Predator franchise dates back a good twenty years, and has sparked a host of movies and games to cash in on the success of the survival horror series. Most recently, that was 2007's Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem for the PSP. Now in 2010 we get the launch of Aliens vs. Predator for next gen consoles and PC. Developed by Rebellion and published by SEGA there is a considerable force behind the development of the title.
Excerpt: Aliens vs. Predetor is a Great Game and an exelent Value for money, the controles are a little hard to get used but you'll soon get used to them, and a great story line and online experince, a great feature is that you get three seperate campains, one as aliens, one as predators and one as marines (humans) i love playing this game with my friends, there are a nice selections of maps to play on and some of the maps change as you play (Open and closing doors) I would...
Excerpt: Here we have three games, but do they all have the same flaws and strengths? AVP is split into 3 games a first person shooter that plays and looks like a Psone game, a first person stealth game that plays like Riddick just with poor graphics and last but well maybe least we have the predator campaign that plays like a very old school first person slashing game with shooting elements.
Pros: good sound, good alien campaign, gory stealth and finishing moves .
Cons: far to short, crap predator campaign and really crap game engine and it really shows .
probably wouldn't recommend getting this game, unless your a BIG Alien vs Predator fan

Excerpt: Ever played the original AVP? I had, and that's what made me want this game, but to be honest, I was let down. I first played this game's demo, found it quite fun. The game was released and I got it straight away. I decided to get the story completed so I started with the single player as an alien (there are 3 campaigns - Alien, Predator and Marine). It wasn't too bad, few hours later, complete. Seriously, it was about 3 hours.
Excerpt: I have to admit I was really unsure of what to expect prior to purchasing this game. I am a very big fan of both the Alien & Predator franchise's and I think thats why I wasn't sure how this would pan out in next gen graphics and gameability. First impressions when playing this game, where that graphically... it is impressive, especially with the lighting, which helps to set a level of tension when playing.
Pros: Graphics are impressive, level of tension is adequate for the situation .
Cons: Controls are pretty annoying when playing the alien, especially when crawling across surfaces .
Excerpt: Aliens Vs Predator is generally a FPS (first person shooter), although there are also elements of third person shooter throughout the game. The characters (and to some extent the storyline) is taken from a mixture of the respective franchises. The game is rated 18 and the level of gore and violence throughout the campaign and multiplayer modes generally reflects this. The campaign mode is split into three; Aliens, Predator or Human (Marines).
About as faithful to these cult franchises as anyone could want

Excerpt: Aliens vs Predator Sci-fi’s biggest icons clash again as Rebellion unites two of the scariest alien species for another round of ass kicking in Aliens vs Predator. Considering Rebellion made the first ever Aliens vs Predator game, which has been considered one of the scariest games ever made, it’s hard not to be slightly excited for the 2010 incarnation of the sci-fi horror franchise.
Excerpt: Okay, So when I first read about this game a few months ago I liked the idea. A rock paper scissors kind of game set in the Alien vs. Predator universe. As a big fan of the original Alien films, and the Predator films. And the two films where they crossover this appealed to me greatly. So I took the plunge and pre-ordered this sucka. So. Lets crack open the gameplay. The game consists of three campaigns where you play as a Colonial Marine, a Predator and an Alien.
Pros: Rock, paper, Scissors gameplay . Get to play as an Alien !
