Summary: I bought this when it was on sale for only like 10 bucks new. I didn't have high expectations coming in because of all the bad press and reviews. Playing through, I actually didn't think it was all that bad. That is until I go to a boss fight that was unbeatable. If you've played this before, you strap in to a power loader and fight a giant alien as well as smaller aliens. It was so cheap in the way you would die, it was almost a joke.
“I say we take off, nuke the site from orbit. It’s the only way to be sure.”

Summary: If you are a big fan of the Alien franchise, and want to trudge through a buggy wasteland, with poor graphics, dull lighting, clunky gameplay, with a great soundtrack and a heap of references from the Aliens film, then this game is for you. I originally pre-ordered the collector's edition, being a long-time fan of the Alien franchise. It wasn't delivered on the day of its release, and I'm glad it wasn't.
meh, another aliens game that doesn't live up to expectations

Summary: it's got my vote for worst of this generation...it's been awhile since I've felt so ripped off by a purchase...wasn't surprised it was values at 8 bucks on the resale market within 1 week of release.
Summary: Like many other disappointed fans, I was caught up in the hype that Aliens was going to get an interactive sequel! I watched every trailer, and looked forward to every detail. as a die hard Alien fan, there was nothing in the world I wanted more than be one of the "Absolutely Badass" Marines, and mow down monsters left and right with a great story to compliment my favorite film of all time. I pre-ordered, and waited.
Summary: The graphics aren't horrible, but they definitely could have been much better. It doesn't compare visually to Halo4 or COD. It doesn't even compare the Halo3. Even Duke Nukem looks better. For that matter, Duke Nukem plays better. The control layout is pretty much the same as most of the top FPS games, but the look reaction is horrible. All movement is basically slow and laggy.
Summary: This game seemed interesting enough if you like Aliens and that world. Unfortunately the game just does not meet my standards for the name it has. The game seems half way done and is nothing like any of the game play footage I have seen. The single player is short and not that difficult even on the harder modes. Boss fights do not at all feel like boss fights, especially the "FINAL" boss fight (SPOILER) against the queen. The games best attribute is the multiplayer.
