TOO HARD, but fun

Summary: I love flight sims, but this one was just too hard. In the beginning you just fly around a city that's under attack, and defend it by shooting down enemy planes. KInd of like a test run. The story was really cool, but the second level is just too hard! After level one, you retreat to a small area to hide, and the enemy finds you and starts bombing you. So you fly around trying to shoot down the bombers, but they are really hard to find in the air.
Summary: I've been a fan of every Ace combat game since the original came out on PS 1. I currently own Ace Combat 5 and 0 for PS2. I have to say that I was quite distraught when I learned, after buying my new PS3, that Ace Comabt 6 was only going to be available on Xbox360. I still think this was a nasty trick played on everyone who bought a PS3 assuming Ace Combat 6 was one of the games sure to be a PS3 exclusive, however, I also think that both X-box and Ace Combat shot...
Summary: Some of the reviews of the AC6 Flightstick Bundle seem to be only for the game itself. I reviewed the game itself separately. This review is for the flightstick bundle, which comes in the box displayed by amazon here. I bought a used set that came complete with everything from the original purchase, box, cords, faceplate, etc. And, everything worked fine and as intended. However, I found these controls to be not really much fun at all.
Incredible Graphics.... and a ton of crash bugs. Hold off a few weeks.

Summary: I've always been a huge Ace Combat fan, I think I probably played through Ace Combat 5 fifty times, so when this came out I was pretty excited. Sadly while what little of the game I've seen is incredible visually, it has some major bugs. Notably that it crashes every... 5-10 minutes. Typically I get maybe 5 minutes into the first mission, but I've had it glitch as early as the plane selection screen. On the whole pretty depressing.
Excerpt: For a while I had heard good things about Ace Combat but because I had never played any of the previous installments I was a bit wary. After finally purchasing the game however I can now confirm I dont think I will be buying any more. The game itself looks brilliant especially on a hdtv and the sound is pretty good also such as the radio chatter from other pilots. Where it suffers in my opinion though is its repetivness.
Excerpt: "...the previous games in the Ace Combat series and to be honest I wont be buying anymore! Yes its fun for a little bit but there are no cheats available so when you get bored and want to fly the fast planes with the awesome guns- you cant unless you have unlocked them! This is quite annoying as I got bored after a few hours lol! Ever level is the same- you fly a plane and shoot something... theres only two things that change 1. It gets harder ...
Summary: This game is perhaps the most boring, vomit-inducing game i have played to date. Ok, i may be exaggerating a bit, but allow me to explain why. Boring - It will take you 20 minutes at least to complete missions, as you have to bomb ground units and destroy air units. If you miss them, you have to make another pass and try again. Miss again? Another pass. Again. And again. Oh wait- and again.
Summary: I've loved the Ace combat series for some time. This game is the worst they have produced, the story line is disjointed at best not to mention the sickeningly poor lines the characters come out with. I've really never come across something as poorly written as this game's story. The game play is quite similar to the others which is a good thing but as the story makes no linear sense, you just fly around shooting everything hoping that you get the objectives or that your...
Summary: This game is visually stunning and shows off the x-box 360 very well in terms of graphical ability. It is however painfully tedious to play. It follows a rather dull and unchallenging cycle :- Target sighted, blown up, sighted, blown up, sighted, blown up....you get the picture. With an inventory well in excess of 100 missiles it soon gets boring. I am disapointed to say that it lacks any depth or gripping gameplay.
