Summary: I recently borrowed FIFA World Cup 2006 and was amazed at how great it was. This is by far the best soccer game I have ever played. The graphics are excellent & are the best I have seen in any soccer game. FIFA World Cup 2006 certainly provides you with the ultimate world cup experience!
Excerpt: I totally disagree with this review. Not sure of your PS2's "condition", but I don't come across any of these problems with the game, even during online play. I believe WC06 is a big improvement over FIFA 06', since Road To The World Cup never came to the PS2.
Excerpt: The graphics aren't the best out there, but it's nice to play something with a complete license. They could have added a few more countries, but all in all it's a pretty decent game. I haven't experienced the slowdown that the 1up reviewer had. So it was a fun experience for me.
Excerpt: I actually like this years version of fifa a lot. I have the xbox 360 version and I've experience no slowdown at all near the nets. All of my games are usually low scoring unless I'm playing a really bad team and the feel you get when you break a 0-0 tie with a goal at the end of the second period...
Excerpt: which any footy fan will tell you, you'll take your point and be happy. From the 1UP review: "Instead of fast-paced soccer, the result is that scoring goals ends up taking place in faux slow-motion. Guess what? That's not fun.
Excerpt: i enjoy the wide angle views that you can't get with winning 11 series...cuz they're not in hd-16:9 format. you can setup plays much easier.. set it on world class difficulty...slow gameplay and 'new analog controls'.
