Summary: Maybe i suck at this game but i find World cup Germany to leaps and bounds better. FIFA 06 game play is ok but i think the players on the field are idiots and they all stand five feet from me and it makes it easy for the other team to steal the ball. I have not played alot of soccer in my time but even i know not to get a bunched up. But then again it could be because i dont now how to work my offense.
Summary: This game is Fifa 2006 Road to World Cup and is similar to Fifa 2002 Road to World Cup in that it is a mini game release that EA has been doing recently. Its just about the World Cup so there are no Leagues or career mode only the World Cup play mode. Amazon's description is for Fifa Soccer 2006 (PC & PS2) that game has 10000+ player and 20+ leagues and a 15 year career mode.
Conclusion: Grass surface: grass surface looks horrible ... even to the extent of blurring the outlines of the players, making the overall look of the in-game football field undefined and utterly unimpressive. cut-scenes looks excellent with good sharpness though ... but overall the next-gen graphics is brought down by that ugly and blurry grass Considering that RTWC has the "long" grass that looks weird, why didn't EA kept the grass ?
High price, almost no major changes from previous game, not recommended

Summary: I bought this game because I've hoped that I will see some major improvements over EA's previous RTWC soccer title. So much for that. It is almost identical game with new visuals related to World Cup but the gameplay did not change in its majority. I mostly play online and actually I think that online portion of the game not even close to one in Road to World Cup.
Summary: ok its the basically the same game as fifa rtfwc. its ridiculas. EA whips out darn sports games 20 times a year and ppl still buy them THEY ARE ALL THE SAME. This one still has the horrible AI that Road had and the graphics are not improved. Why are the other versions 30$ and the xbox 360 version 60$ explain to me Ea why u create the same games over and over again and dont change a da#n thing? Example, madden...nba live. they are all the same.

Summary: FIFA 06 - Road to FIFA World Cup - takes soccer to a new level with XBox 360 quality graphics. It's not as complete as other soccer games out there, though. Soccer is a game that's hugely popular in much of the world - but less so in the US. I personally think soccer is a great sport and am happy to see sports games covering this for gamers to learn and enjoy. The graphics in FIFA 06 for the XBox 360 are rather impressive.
Summary: Soccer isn't the American sport. For whatever reason, it's never been the huge craze that football, basketball, or baseball have been in the 'States despite being the biggest and most popular sport everywhere else in the world. Because of that soccer video games are still a big market. With FIFA 06, I think soccer fans can find a little to appreciate but for the rest of us, this title won't make you fall head-over-heels for the sport.
Summary: Who doesn't love a good soccer game? Everyone loves a good one. The problem is this. EA has made a soccer game that is only mildly prettier than last years game, and has dropped many of the great features of the last game. However, if you need a soccer game for your XBOX 360 this is the only option you have. It is a decent game, just not as good as the last one. The crowd is ugly, the players are beautiful. There are not as many teams.
Conclusion: The long standing battle between good and evil (PES Vs Fifa) is still ongoing but this FIFA aint that bad especially for less than a tenner. it kept me going for an entire weekend and i never got bored, simple gameplay nothing to complicated but yet enjoyable. I would imagine it would be good to keep the kids happy and its cheaper than taking them to the cinema and lasts longer.
